Sack Neil Balme!!!!!

Balme is useless, simple as that.

He is totally inept at every job he's ever attempted - as a footballer, a coach and now with us.

Lose him, and gain respect.

petty, inept, poor supporters of our great club. all you want to do is trade for the sake of trading.

Balmey shouldnt be sacked as he has done the right thing in keeping our picks and not throwing them away willy nilly.

We cant get players if they dont want to come as in johnno and smith, thats not his fault and its not his fault that we couldnt get stevens.

im glad we didnt get either tarvis or smith or anyone else.

Lets keep the picks and find our own superstars.

No. Something has to be done, we were exposed this year with a lack of depth, we need pace in the midfield and have enough young tallant. We have ex-senior players in Shaw and McGough and to some extent Obree, who could be flogged to other clubs for 2nd/3rd round picks. Yes keep pick 7, yes keep pick 23, but why the ********ing hell are we keeping obree and williams and mckee, and why the ********ing hell arent we trading hard for morrison, johnstone, bartell/tenace/kelly, why didnt we put a smokey on the block... TRADE QUALITY FOR QUALITY, put presti on the block to see what he can bring in, if he doesnt bring in a 1st rounder dont trade him, but at least look like we are puting somthing on the line!

Firstly the entire football department make trade decisions. Secondly what a bunch of chicken littles you all are. Every year it's 'where's our big name recruit'. Supporters always want immediate gratification, well it doesn't work like that. We'll take Monfries and he will become an excellent player for us, but chicken littles always want someone they've heard of. As for Obree, McGough, and Rhyce, other clubs don't want them! Do we just give them away? Stop being a bunch of panic merchants, Morrison will arrive via the PSD, and prepare yourself for a climb back into the top six. Lets keep the powder dry for the victorian kid whose girlfriend like to wear a red dress.

Wrong - Monfries will not be around at pick 10, Adelaide will take him at 8, or Hawthorn at 7

Wrong - Morrison is ours for pick 37

No matter what spin you try to put on it our trading for years has been crap.
Being an apologist for Balme, Judkins et al doesn't add anything to your argument.

I never said I could predict the future. The Pies must believe the player they want will be available at ten. Hawthorn and Carlton will both draft big blokes, don't know what Adelaide will do. There are still plenty of good uncontracted players out there, maybe one is on a Collingwood hook?

The deal Balme did I'd say with Hawthorn has given the Pies a handshake in the PSD

Maybe, and we all know that the Bulldogs aren't exactly cashed up, but aren't you guys forgetting that Richmond have the first pick.

Unless its Johnstone and he puts $500K on his head, then I would assume the Tigers would take the best player available with that pick.

And if it is Johnstone, and you're prepared to pay him that much, well...

Exactly what I'm thinking. ;)
VERY wishfull thinking. But I was thinking we drop McGough, O'Bree or Shaw from our list and Hawthorn take one of those. BUT (and a very big Shackleton like but) Richmond IMO would have the room in the ole' sally cap for TJ and Bulldogs may too.

Exactly. And anyway I think Richmond would have enough to pay him that 500K.
