Well folks, now that the pre season comp has finished, it would be interesting to see who everyone thinks will be the newest member of that illustrious club.

IMO there are only two contenders, that useless prick Ayers and his sidekick Judge.

But ..I think it will go to Judge.

You're wrong on the judge thing. When the eagles hired judge they publicly said that they expect 2-3yrs of bottom 8 finishes and through hat time Ken Judge will have the whole clubs support. So it rules him out.

I think Port's coach Mark Williams is a prime contender to join that club. The club is hungry for success and anything but a top6 finish will be a bad result for the club. Port did after all fire their first coach quite pre-maturaly.

Also Damien Drum. He's had his time at the club without improving them too much. Neesham infact finished higher on the ladder then Drum at his time there.

Believe it or not, these coaches could be in real trouyble if their seasons go 'pear shaped' after alot of promise during the pre-season.

Matthews
Brittain
Eade
Malthouse

not your usual candidates, sure, but I do honestly think all these guys would be well advised to look over their shoulder should things not go to plan this year.

Oh yeah, - Wallace ain't safe as houses either.

cheers

Idiot or not, I think Mark Williams looks a bit more likely to hold his spot after winning the Mickey Mouse Cup on the weekend.

Even though Ayres is the worst coach around (I have believed this since his Geelong days), you would have to question the sanity of the Adelaide brains trust in hiring him. They may not be smart or sane enough to sack him.

The Drums are beating for Damien you mark my words, although he's not entirely to blame. A message to the players - you reach for the towell after the game, not before half time.

Dear Carltonhater,

I think there is more chance of you buying a Carlton membership than Brittain getting sacked. We'd have to lose every game. Not necessarily because I think we will do really well this year (we may, we may not) but its his first year of the contract and he'd really have to bugger up to get sacked. Put it this way, I think there is more chance that Sheedy will be sacked.

Regards,

Carltonlover.

It won't be "Show No Mercy" Williams. If sense prevails it would be Judge (Whoosha would be an ideal replacement) and then Ayres but I have a feeleing it could be the Drum.

I think Drum will go if the Dockers don't win a few games early on, there are already rumblings over here.

Actually Blues2001, I think this is a reasonable comment by BSA. Carlton's lack of tolerance for coaches is exceeded only by Richmond.

If Brittain doesn't cut the mustard he will find himself out quick smart.

Why is their so much interest in Coaches getting the sack or Clubs folding?

Is it that footy followers worship masochism?

My appologies to all. I completely forgot about Drum. Maybe that says it all.
In order.. Drum, Ayers, Judge.
But really any order will do, they are all shit.
