What sort of role are you applying for?

If you can't get a job with them just give up now you're life is over. :)

LOL, good luck, it was good to see some initiative, get some info and help you secure a job. I have interviewed plenty of people for jobs and some of them don't even know what they are applying for.

Hope you realise that the costs required for keeping a car are much more than the price tag would suggest. I'm 22, I've lived quite easily without a car thus far. Not saying you don't need one I'm just saying have a good think about it first.

have fun at the induction! god they are boring. Ive been doing nightfill at safeway for 3 years now you'll come to find they are real bastards as far as the area & store managers go, same rules apply as in high school with their uniforms too ;)

good luck, I started off the same as you wanting to save for a car, now I got a new XR6 :D

I was warned before i got my first car how expensive it was, but it hasn't been the case at all. I'm 20 so ive had my car for 2 years and the convenience of being able to drive to work and uni and to wherever i want to go whenever i want to go, is a worthwhile investment. If i had to take public transport to uni, it would take 3 hours instead of my drive time of 50 mins, and more than double the time to go to work as well. I have a part time job, and because I live at home for free it is relatively easy for me to afford $60 in petrol per week and the expense of registration, insurance and the odd service. I admit that I do spend a bit of money going out and I like to go shopping, but with a part time job and some money smarts you'll be right.

What sort of clothes do you wear to this group assesment thing? My little brother has one soon, and he's been asking me if he should go the whole 'shirt and tie route' but since I've never been to one I'm not sure.

I wore black pants, black shoes and just collared shirt, nothing too fancy, just neat and presentable

Congratulations and Good luck. :thumbsu:
I worked full time at Safeway for nearly 9 years in store performing various roles including storeman, checkout chick, order writer, grocery manager the list goes on.
I have made life long friendships through this job and still have a lot of friends who work there ( i have been out over 7 years now).
If you can survive the customers and management cutting hours by the bucketloads so they can meet their bonus requirements you should have a long and successfull career.

I ended up getting the job from my interveiw last week with Safeway. Pretty pumped to get started now as well, i start this week :)

I guarantee you that emotion will only last 1 shift if that.
