Ok legends, to stop you getting bored while we wait for Sunday, I've created a game which you can hopefully access here:

People who are familiar with the popular New York Times game Connections will recognise this format, for the rest of you the concept is simple:

There are 16 terms that you must sort into four mystery categories, four terms each. Some categories are more difficult than others and the trick is to associate terms when some could be in more than one category. You are only allowed to make four wrong tries and then it's game over. I hope I explained that well enough.

Give it a go and tell me what you think!

I managed to put them in four categories - with not one of them being purple haha.

My answer was wrong by Austinnn's categories though haha.

Hey just for any old school punters out there, this is an interactive online game, you don't need to work it out in your head or on paper, just click the link and select 4 terms and press submit, then if one of your little dots turns red, you were wrong, but if you were right, it tells you the category and you can move on to the next one!

I have a nyt subscription.

It’s a fun game, I play it along with wordle, spelling bee and strands.

I was referring to a name fitting two category’s and how using it in one makes the other become clear, a red herring.

Just for people thinking of making your own, of course you are free to do as you please but the "conventional" style is:

Yellow - easy

Green - bit harder

Blue - quite tough

Purple - a real campaigner, just like the one on Footy Classified
