Since we're including stats that are completely incomparable due to the two different roles, you conveniently left out

Trainor
0 clearances, 0 centre clearances, 0 tackles inside 50, 4 contested possessions

Garcia
5 clearances, 3 centre clearances, 2 tackles inside 50, 9 contested possessions

Now **** off back to your board

I admire your commitment to bitterness, but see if you can keep it up for four years.

I still get triggered whenever I see Connor Idun who stole Cooper Sharman’s nomination in the last round of 2021 with 17 cheap disposals across half back compared to Sharman’s 4 goals, 4 contested marks, 1 Brownlow vote and 8 coaches votes.

Last thing you want to do is poke a hungry mod, SMH.

Alrighty peeps, has been dealt with, ping again if you need a hammer.
The problem with that is that if I have a hammer, EVERYONE looks like a nail......

He was a link in lots of scoring chains. He's as rough as jailhouse toilet wine but he works harder than any one on field and he's one of the better kicks inside 50 in the side despite having below average disposal.
"jail house toilet wine" now there is a site that will give you very sore eyes I reckon.🤣

...It’s why imo. Winning against Carlton is better than losing for a pick. Young guys learn how to win and have the support of older leaders like

Steele
Sincs
Wilkie
McRae
Wood
I agree, but it's not really about whether we won or lost that game. Ross said about four to six weeks before the end of the season that we can't make finals, but we will do everything with excellence to drum that expectation and habit into the guys. That was the benefit of it. We didn't half arse the last third of the season. We set standards, and that's vital. Wins followed, but it wasn't really the wins that mattered. It's that we kept pursuing excellence every day. I think that would have had a big impact on the youngsters in particular.

I can remember back when Ross 1.0 took over we played a game against WC early in his tenure and at one point he put the clamps on it and they just couldn't find an inch. It had that vibe where we controlled the momentum of the game and set it up on our terms. It was the first time the announcers started cracking the shits about his negative game style because he took the oxygen out of the match. It's not attractive but it is impressive.
He wound the clock back on Friday. Wasn't going to let us get smashed in the midfield for the third week in a row. Interestingly, on Saturday morning Coops said on SEN something like - Ross said we'd squeeze them in the first half and then run away from them in the second half, and that's what happened. It's almost like he did a hard reset and then allowed us to layer our attacking game back in in the second half.

I felt like we were more zone-based, which reduced the amount of running we had to do. Watching it live, it seemed like we smashed them while leaving a little in the tank. The whole game style felt more durable and less labour intensive. I feel like there's a magical middle ground between dour zone and agressive high-intensity attack and defence, and if we find it, we'll be very hard to beat.

Fascinating to see how we handle the midfield contest this week.

Of course, couldn’t agree more. Result matters but the underlying stuff is more importsnt

Yep, and as you say - the resultant victories were worth the price in terms of draft order.
