I'm a really big fan of O'Connell. He's another tough nut, very similar to Stocker. He just gets it done, absolutely love him in the side.

But seriously what a fantastic response from our mob. Just tougher in every aspect of the game. The backline was immense led by another incredible Wilkie performance but also how good was Webster? So clean.

Loved seeing Steeley get a goal. He is clearly hurting and wants to be better, you could tell from the reaction to the goal. Really good step forward for him and also Marshall who destroyed their two rucks.

When Sharman is flying at the ball like that he's a wonderful player to watch.

Box could be some player. Tough as, and his disposal was solid as today. Thinking what he'll be like in a couple of years has me excited.

The only disappointment was contested marks 4 v 16. We desperately need to improve that part of our game.

+48 contested possessions is one of the biggest discrepancies recorded in an AFL game too.

Flogged them everywhere except contested marks, which can be excused given our lack of height and the fact they did nothing with it

I know Steele has his detractors as a captain, but clearly the players love him. Marshall In particular made a fuss of him after the goal.

Is he though? Commentators are always praising his performances and rightly so. Maybe flies under the radar with the general footy public because Saints don’t play a lot of games in prime time slots.
