Hate to be a realist, but Max is walking super gingerly favouring that knee, especially during a half assed contested marking drill. He's running and kicking fine so I reckon he just has zero confidence in that right knee. How is he (king) moving ?
Has he always walked with that limp (favouring one leg)?Hate to be a realist, but Max is walking super gingerly favouring that knee, especially during a half assed contested marking drill. He's running and kicking fine so I reckon he just has zero confidence in that right knee.
Jimmy out there looks fine as well.
Good to see Doogs training in the fluoro, Hally out there so no injury concerns there.

Maxy looking ripped. Can't wait to have him back in the team.
Yes. That's how he walks..Has he always walked with that limp (favouring one leg)?
Rossy loves Lance and Tobes, you can just tell he has his little favourites.
Webster reappeared from rooms running laps.
Barrat into treatment room early on.
JC running laps, hammy can't be too bad.
Max went to treatment room, came back and is training but only jogging getting used to movements in the match sim stuff I'm guessing. It's when he is landing from a jump that he really has zero confidence in it to the point where he looks like he has just done his knee again and again. He looks slimmer than he did preseason, not a heap of muscle definition in his legs and chest - hes no Thilthorpe thats for sute. Nice to see him out there though - long way to go though in my opinion.
Hastie will be a player, he is very Nas-like in his movement, he is missing a bunch of targets by foot though which is a shame. Sort of like Nas, which is super frustrating considering just how good he is. Ronnie also very sloppy.
Stocker training strongly, Tobes is also putting his best foot forward

Correct, I think Mitchito and Wilkie will be in that hat more often than not this year. The other one was Doug when he was training.I think i saw on 360 that Michito was wearing the yellow 'no contact' hat?
100% agree on king .dont expect him back next week based on what i saw today.Well Jimmy did about a third of the session, looked fine whilst he was out there. Finished training around same time Doug took himself back to the rehab area.
Max watch, so I took a bit of extra notice of Max today.
First up, started super cautious doing a soft body contact marking drill with Heath. Kept landing on his left leg putting little to no weight on his right leg. Looked miles off it and if he really was Winx, I'd say he'd never race again.
Then moved to a different part of the drill where it was more running and kicking and looked fine jogging through it.
Next up he went off with a trainer to the treatment room.
Came back put with additional strapping on his right knee. Did some work testing out the knee, changing direction, collecting ground balls etc.
Joined main group session again in the match sim stuff. Was only jogging around though, so trailing opponents and not going into any contests. I think it was more to just get the feeling of being out there and getting used to the change of directions etc from a game situation.
After training had a super long chat to about 6 staff, including Ross.
Then they all watched as he did some more work with marking contests and putting more pressure on the knee. 'Wrestled' with Rivers in contests, looked a lot less ginger on it. Sure he had awareness, but wasn't hampered at all.
My opinion only, but I reckon he has zero confidence in his knee. The work he did in the end of training was positive and showed that his knee is holding up to a bit of pressure.
I still think he is a fair way off it. I mean, Butler has been training fully for 3 or 4 weeks now, so I'm not sure how Max can go from barely wanting to put pressure on his leg after a contest to suddenly being match ready in a week or two.
Now talking about a different Max now, but can we please sign Hall up to a new deal ASAP? Today was one of the only guys out there who consistently hit up targets... I do not want a Massimo situation with Max...
Maybe it's the other way around i.e. don't go near Michito otherwise he will hurt you!I think i saw on 360 that Michito was wearing the yellow 'no contact' hat?
I agree with all of that. I think Max just has to learn to play through whatever discomfort he is feeling. There’s a lot of AFL players that are never 100% but they learn how to play through it.Well Jimmy did about a third of the session, looked fine whilst he was out there. He lived over there for 5 years, so he would have at least an understanding of the difference in culture and probably sees the value in keeping Collard happy, because you can see from his last 2 games that he is loving being out there.I think Ross said he has dinner with Collard once a week.
So Ross is obviously happy to put in extra time into Collard. Most likely as he knows that Collard has the potential to be extra special if he can just apply himself more., including more consistently.
