One of Ken’s super powers over his long coaching Journey has been his ability to galvanise his players in the face of adversity, however this week has a different feel about it, with all the speculation about the players being confused about who is the coach and them just being in a holding pattern for this season.

If we beat Port this week, us being Port’s bitches; we KiLL Kenny!

I'll never change my view that the entire Richardson coaching spell goes completely differently if we win that game. No Riewoldt, No Montagna, No Gilbert. Almost 2 years younger per player that day, with over 750 total games less experience. Would have been a club changing win.
I was there and it was shattering. Almost got into a punch on walking out!

I wouldn't say I'm confident but feel pretty serene (not really the right word but anyway) about this one.

As others have mentioned, their fwd line is pretty much Georgiades atm and Wilkie would be an excellent match up for him; Wilkie to wear him and I would like to give Hammer a bit of a license to intercept and see how he goes, he's like ~5th in the comp or something for marks at present.

Their midfield is obviously super concerning but JHF is weirdly off his tucker at the moment, would love to see a Windy hard tag on him to really try and take him out of the game.

Sharman as a defensive forward on Aliir (same role he did very successfully against T. Stewart last year) to help him keep working his way back into the side from injury. Keep Wood playing forward for much of the game.

Agree it’s going to be interesting watching how the team scores when King gets back in, he also needs to prove his durability which has been very unreliable since back before he was drafted.
little premature talking trade though.
Yep. Just a little.
Sharman, Owens, King, occasionally Wood - opposition going to have a nightmare trying to defend them all.

Definitely more about the durability. Max will score with the best inside 50 delivery we’ve had in years.

Effort, Effort and Effort - Our pressure rating needs to be around 200 this game - Was sitting 210 plus against the cats - and around 170 against the Tigers (upto half time, not sure how it finished)

We need to come out of the blocks strong and keep it tight - port love a bit of downhill skiing. If we keep it tight up until halftime i can see us running them off their feet and winning 25 plus.

If we have a poor start, it will be all over.

My changes - LOC out - Stocker in, Hastie out - Steele in with Trav going Sub as per last game.

Every year since 2021 we have started the with either a few wins or still a bit of hope, then we vs port Adelaide at around this time in the year and get beaten and then our season spirals from there. Please can we change this shit pattern this year.

Midfield needs to get it done here. Can't let them walk the ball out of stoppages like round one and every time we play Port.

They are absolutely up against it and if we can hit them early it could be a long afternoon for them. Really good opportunity to go 3-1 but it will require bringing our pressure game. Big day for Marshall too.

I reckon Port have four who'd slot into our side as one of our best two mids: Butters, Rozee, Horne-Francis, Wines.

Honestly I don't really understand why they're so bad, except I guess Butters' injury?
They hate their coach.

We need a Ben long type operator to just polax him and cop 4 weeks on the chin
Get up there, and jump the fence with a baton.

We’ll do a whip-around for the fines.

Have a crack at Rozee and Butters while you’re at it.

1/2 quick centre clearances before our player have blinked.

Another goal out their arse,

A dodgy free kick

Unchanged team lineup.
Webby should be right its only an ankle.
Actually Irish might need to be replaced by Stocky.
Ari might get a spot on the bench as sub, to come on as an impact player, or come in for Hastie.
Almost unchanged except for forced changes.
Reading the Sandy reports it sounds like Henry thinks he can just coast along and expect a call up. Hally and Lancey Boy aint gonna let that happen.
Butts will have to sit this one out as well I think.
My prediction is for Dougie Keeler to have an absolute blinder in front of his Radelaide mates and family.

Can someone explain to me how Keeler gets the name Dougie?
