Want to see us play angry. Push and shove get in oppo's faces. Fog may kickstart this. Get us out of this chippy chippy kick robot mode. Get some bloody emotion. When was the last time you saw the team get around the player that kicks a goal or sing the team song with gusto. It's like they have been hypnotised to act like library assistants.

AFL footy requires strategy, intelligence and a somewhat analytical approach.

But it ALSO is played by humans, not robots. They need to be individually and collectively primed to get the job done.

Read an interesting article quoting Rhyce Shaw explaining exactly that. The group needs to buy in to what you’re doing with absolute commitment and drive.

He’s not the only issue by a long shot but Pyke doesn’t seem to be able fulfil both sides of that coin. He should maybe be elevated to ‘manager’ ala soccer set up while we have a 2IC under him who implements Pyke’s strategy but is the motivational figurehead bringing them together (not Campo!)

Fog is going to find it difficult to perform because he hasn't been allowed to play as a forward for most of a year now.

It's like they're setting him up to fail just to defuse the calls to play him.

I think Brett Ratten is an outstanding coach, very underestimated.

This is likely to be yet another from the old Clarkson stable well versed in picking us apart. That is the advantage they have.

Most teams after the week we have had, would come out ferocious, angry and have a red hot crack even Gold Coast would. I’m not so worried about the result, but the intent.

If we fade away like we have lately and I think it’s exactly what will happen it’ll show exactly where we are, and that Don Pyke and Co have completely lost the players.

Gave my seats away for tonight without a second thought. There is literally no outcome that could make me happy.

The possibility of Fog announcing himself somewhat is the only reason I'll be watching the game at all.

In many ways for us a win is a loss and a loss is a win.
The main reason to win is to give Carlton a lower draft pick. If we somehow stumble backwards into the 8, with the current team we'll be embarrassed in the 1st final.
