lol caro saying watson came off looking bad after having a go at her. She has no shame at all. Oh she is still upset that Tim Watson make a mexican joke 2 weeks ago.

Also called Hird a narcissist, was gonna go on about steph being at the ground and in the press conference but Gary cut her off saying no big deal move along.
The press have been in her domain too.

I still can't work out why people were calling this D day if this is the first day of us putting our case forward and actually fighting the charges, unless I've missed something.

I could have said this morning nothing would happen today. I hope ch7 didn't spend too much cash rebirthing talking footy...
This isn't a hearing of the charges. Hird has a writ in the Supreme Court that would need to be heard or withdrawn before any AFL hearing could occur, certainly of charges against him personally. The AFL granted both Hird and the club (not sure of the other 3) more time to prepare and postponed any hearing to an unspecified date.

This is a negotiation, where the AFL and EFC and the 4 are trying to reach an agreement on what they are willing to plead guilty to and what the penalties would be. If they reach such an agreement, there will be no hearing of charges.

No case is being put, other than to the extent it is part of the negotiation.

Caro's latest article, she is so pleading for us to take a big hit...

Hird has been one, if not the only major impediment to the AFL's resolution with Essendon, a resolution observers increasingly feared could be softened in the interests of expediency with the finals and the 2013 Brownlow Medal count and all manner of other football award ceremonies around the corner.
The rest of the competition demands Essendon is punished as no club has ever been punished and the AFL has to make a statement regarding the duty of care to footballers. Anything less than two years devoid of early draft picks would prove an insult. .
Funny Eddie didn't sound that way on AFL360 tonight. That last quote especially really shows her desparation. Really no better than some of the long time HTB trolls.

Exactly, I just cant for the life of me see why so many people are so intent on running him down and dragging his name through the mud and virtually treating him like he is Australia's most wanted criminal. He is a son, a husband, a father, a real human being who happens to have been a champion footballer and is now trying his hand at the coaching business. It makes me sick that people can actually treat another man like this and think it's the right thing to do.
This joint (AUS) is stuffed, our society is no better than the US, we've been over run by boganism.

Nathan Buckley saying on FC that he, as a coach, would not have any idea of the supplements program at his club.

Ridiculous that Hird is made to look like the face of this whole saga. Every other coach in the AFL wouldn't have a club about the ins and outs of their supp programs.
So far, we have had Buckley, Roos and Matthews all say pretty much the same thing.
Yet Hird is being held responsible.

What was the joke?
Nah, sorry. I wasn't talking about her comments Carlton players should've sledged Essendon players (which reportedly she dismissed as just a joke. Presumably like if someone calls in your radio show and wishes cancer upon somebody); didn't see that bit I was flicking.

She said Connolly was signed on for an extension which Melbourne then paid out when he was suspended, and Lyon pulled her up on it implying it wasn't true but that it was an argument for another time (in other words, I don't want to squash your credibility on my show)

Just quoting the post to join the "Caro on Footy Classified tonight" banter, probably didn't make my post very clear in doing so though.

@antsharwood I think UV rays hitting your bald head fried your brain. An 8 year old could write a better article than that. You are a joke.

@notorious_steve ah, a bald sledge. Haven't had one for minutes. Which of your physical imperfections would you like me to lampoon?

I find it funny tries to take the high road about physical imperfections when he wrote an article on Bill Gates' haircut. My point wasn't even about his hair deficiency, I know he can't help it.
Have you got a link to his article?

Is there some sort of rule the AFL have with the media where we must answer questions? Can we never answer questions from Fairfax again if we choose at press conferences? Or just answer with absolute tripe?

Caro: Jobe, do you feel that you were dominant in all aspects of today's win?
Jobe: 2 pancakes with maple syrup & ice cream. Next question from someone respectable please.

I know the Pies told one of the radio stations they won't be doing any pregame coach interviews on the weekend just gone like they normally would, due to how Dale Thomas was treated at the airport last week.
