I am interested in the role of Jack Rush QC who is representing EFC. He is also a board member at STKilda FC.

You think that he would be an excellent legal representative, with a good knowledge of AFL operations. Although dealing with the AFL is different to being in a court.

Yes.

It should be the other way around.
Exactly.

It's absolute horse shit. I can't understand why the club aren't fighting this harder. The commission hearing, where evidence etc was meant to be heard, has just turned into negotiaons for farks sake
Is there some sort of rule the AFL have with the media where we must answer questions? Can we never answer questions from Fairfax again if we choose at press conferences? Or just answer with absolute tripe?

Caro: Jobe, do you feel that you were dominant in all aspects of today's win?
Jobe: 2 pancakes with maple syrup & ice cream. Next question from someone respectable please.

I know the Pies told one of the radio stations they won't be doing any pregame coach interviews on the weekend just gone like they normally would, due to how Dale Thomas was treated at the airport last week.
Better still written in lovely French prose

roIt also emerged it was Essendon's lawyers who demanded the four individuals remain in separate rooms at AFL House as they negotiated with the league's lawyers. The AFL had wanted the four in the same room.

From Caro.
Tom Watson said this morning it was other way round afl lawyers put them in separate rooms.
Makes more sense I would have thought

Has the AFL Coaches Association come out and said anything at all? Seems two of their number (Hird & Thompson) are being railroaded by the Afl and they are silent on the matter. Interesting that everyone else has their say.
They have been notably silent, but they have zero clout (what can they do - threaten a coaches strike? ) so even if they did speak out it wouldn't hold much weight.

It might be nice to hear an opinion on the matter from them anyway.

IMO AFLCA is more of a coaches club, not so much a union (in the traditional sense at least).

They haven't said anything because they, along with the AFLPA, shit themselves of Vlad and are following his every move instead of sticking up for their fellow members.

This is true. There has been a lot of confirmation bias on this issue. Although it has to be said that many Essendon supporters could be accused of confirmation bias as well.
Absolutely.

The way it pans out is that confirmation bias for Essendon supporters lead downs the 'innocent until proven guilty' path, whereas for (some, not all) non-Essendon supporters it leads down the 'guilty until proven innocent' path.

A week or so ago the AFL gave the 4 individules more time to present their case & offered Ess more time if required, all of them took up the offer.

Yesterday they all fronted up for what???.

Why were they in that stinkhole of a place called AFL house yesterday, if they needed more time to prepare.

AFL charge list said we breached the Anti Doping code but they didn't charge us for it. The media seem to have let that one go...
If we went through and listed everything the media has 'let go', by the time we're done we'd be akin to ASADA. The media is ridiculously biased and intent on creating propaganda for those moronic enough to believe it.

Forget about them, and this becomes a bit easier :)

It could be that yesterday was all about the club charge, and the 4 officials were there as part of that, not as part of hearing their individual charges.
