Listening to SEN, Boomer Harvey says they need another Daniel Wells in their list LOLOL what they want another under performer for 10years?

At the end of all this do we post a memorial for all those lost for the cause.
The number of reds handed out to the Bomber faithful has been amazing

(in the case of one who claimed to be our own I would send sympathy to the Tigers as he has changed Club allegiance)

Hows Tania Hird pressing the horn button as James was driving out of the car park.

Farkn lol good on ya Tania.
God help anyone speaking ill of her loved long time husband and father of her 4 children. Especially if they are trying to take away his livelihood!

You've gotta wonder why the club is even entertaining negotiations with the AFL. What are they holding over us? I reckon the AFL got all the other presidents to sign off on the possibility of deregistering the club. Its the only thing I can think they would have left. They leaked & released every intimate detail of the club & its staff & facilitated a media assisination not seen since Lindy Chamberlain. We have had or reputations forever destroyed & will be declared as cheats regardless of what happens from here on. We've got nothing left to lose but our licence & I would not put it past the AFL for a single second to threaten it. This is why the presidents were called in. I believe as a foundation member the AFL cannot simply remove the club without the authorisation of all other clubs.
Let's call their bluff on this then. How many years left on the TV rights with Channel 7 and Foxtel for how many games each weekend, and for how many dollars is that contract worth?

Also how much revenue would the AFL lose from EFC alone. I know for a fact the vast majority will never follow another AFL club so that is revenue down the drain for an organisation that puts dollars above all else.

With a criminal investigation almost certain to result from Vlad & co being forced to appear in court the AFL would be desperate to avoid the harsh light of impartial justice being shone on their conduct.
We all know who has acted in not only a morally reprehensible manner during this saga but illegally as well. If you're not sure the only clue I am giving is that it ain't Essendon. Court wouldn't be the worse outcome on earth

Add to this the blatently currupt collusion with ASADA who release an interim report at the AFLs' request in order to help them justify their predetermined agenda of forcing us out of finals. Also who could forget our wonderful government & their part in this drama & no doubt continuing influence in perverting justice to hide their incompotence. Vlad is a good ALP man & like so many of them he's currupt to the bone (I don't care who you vote for but I believe all Essendon supporters shoudl be conscious of the the role the ALP played in all this). This was Clare & Lundys' great grandstanding idea that Vlad went along with for political expedience. He's probably got asperations himself to go into politics so had no problem swallowing the parties "blackest day in sport" & throwing us to the slaughter. We are fighting more than the AFL in this.
**** 'em all. If the AFL really want to hang us out to dry then let's turn the tables
Added my comments to the above.

Surely there aren't leaks coming out of a closed commission hearing. I am hoping against hope what we are hearing is nothing more than rumour. Robbo eluded to the fact that he just doesn't know what is going on in there so how can anyone else? If the AFL is leaking from within the hearing then EFC need to just walk out.

Under an assumption of the hearing being closed and no leaks occurring, I can only think of 2 scenarios here:
  1. The AFL has produced ASADA based evidence that we had no clue about and have the wood over us
  2. We are fighting the charges with clear evidence forcing a rethink from all concerned. This is our 1st chance to produce our evidence on our terms since this started and to get it out of the way in 1 day is a farcical thought.

Is it actually a hearing, or is it just a negotiation session for plea bargaining?

I think it's more along these lines. Our guys just look defeated. I know they had an especially long day yesterday, but they all looked emotionally battered, especially Little.

It's a negotiation on what exactly the charges will be (wording etc).

Following that its negotiation on penalties, but I don't think they'd even be up to that yet.
I would have thought that if negotiations are going on, both charges and penalties would be negotiated at the same time.

If you were, say, Thompson, the only leverage you have in negotiating on charges is offering to plead guilty, which of course you won't do until you know what the penalties would be.

They have been referring to it as a hearing for a long time now, and still were yesterday.

At the end of the day I believe you're right and that it is being referred to as a hearing in word only. It is actually a plea bargaining session and nothing more.

Two ladies in the tea room at work yesterday, emphatically going on about how Hird should be done in - he's a disgrace, after all, and deserves everything he will get.

I asked what for, what has he done in all this?

Response 1: Well to be honest I don't know. I haven't been following it very closely and don't know much about it.
(Oh how her tune changed when she was asked to back it up. Shocking, I know, right)

Response 2: Given drugs to players that are unsafe yadeyadeyada

All along I was of the opinion that the drugs weren't unsafe and its just a technicality they aren't approved for therapeutic use (and how easy it is for knobs to get that confused with something being actually unsafe), so I decided to look at it to find out.

Thought I would post my findings here for anyone else who has a similar conversation and would like to have some facts to throw out...

http://calzada.com.au/wp-content/up...-of-the-Hexadecapeptide-AOD9604-in-Humans.pdf

AOD9604 does not activate the hGH/IGF-1 pathway and therefore has no growth promoting effect
AOD9604 displayed a very good safety and tolerability profile indistinguishable from placebo. AOD9604 did not result in any of the adverse effects associated with full-length hGH treatment.
In the testing, a few people got a headache. (Although one did get anorexia, which is a strange AE from a trial over a couple of weeks...)

Fingers crossed it only looks that way because we are the ones with the heavily invested interest here. The AFL can do what they like, unless they strip us of our licence there will always by EFC.

Same sort of thing at my work but it was

1st guy- U see hird is taking the afl to court
2nd- yea good on him they have dragged his name through the mud
1st- yea hope he wins

Might be because lack of shit shows like footy classified up here or might be that anyone that isn't biased can see that this is all bullshit
