That's what worries me. Unless no one had ever used the other one and they thought the same dosages would work. That seems a bit farfetched though.
Are you then also assuming that Dank only bought peptides for Essendon and only used them on Essendon players? Dank seemed to be successful in his industry, I don't think we can assume everything he bought was for Essendon players..

I am aggrieved at how we have been so ignorant and reckless. However, if AOD is not performance enhancing - and yes I understand it was banned and what not - then shouldn't the penalties be the same as for one who consumes say Cannabis? Indeed the latter is actually illegal in the wider society full stop.

If I understand correctly, the latest official word is that the investigation will be complete by early August, and Dank won't be interviewed as part of it - is that right?
According to Tim Watson this morning the ACC interviewed Dank and will pass on their findings regarding Dank to ASADA. Therefore he believed they didnt need to interview Dank

Under the AFL's anti-doping code, cannabis is classified under class S8 and is both a 'prohibited substance' and a 'specified substance', and so the potential penalties are the same as for AOD-9604 - anywhere from a reprimand to a 2 year ban (depending on how the AFL tribunal feels).

The key point here is that cannabis is only prohibited 'in-competition', so it doesn't matter if players take it during the week - it's only an offence if taken (and tested for) on match day.

Is this ACC interviewing of Dank something that happened before the ASADA investigation into Essendon started ? Back when the ACC were compiling their sports / drugs / organised crime report ?

If so, the 'information' from that interview can't possibly be as good as the information that would be gleaned from an ASADA interview with Dank now, given how much ASADA have learned since then. If nothing else, ASADA would be expected to have some pretty specific questions for Dank now that the ACC wouldn't have thought of back then.

Yep. Players that take an illegal drug (in every sense of the word) often do so, as they can recover from its effects faster and more subtley than a night on the froffs. So they are getting their buzz/downtime/whatever you want to call it but also able to front up for training the next day. If the (legal) alternative is going to affect a player's hydration and subsequent fitness levels, then isn't that a form of enhancing performance through illegal means? Funny how those morally outraged never seem to see it that way.

yet the dosage is exactly the same as Charters' recommended for best results with Beta 4? Seems a bit smelly to me
I'm not a doc but if the other is the version of Tymosin...shouldn't be the same in usage too for max benefit? Again this got to through Reid first. If it didn't and he didn't sign it...no injections.

Anyways
Timmy on SEN this morning saying the media need to be prepared for the disappointment of ASADA clearing the Essendon players.

From memory, the 7.30 report with Shane Chaters had him quoting something along the lines of ' only Steve Danks really knows what he administered at the EFC'.
Alledged Emails between Charters and Dank from Charters perspective on the topic of Thymosin beta-4 could have him assuming it was not in relation for use at the EFC.
Charters also said as much in the 7.30 report interview with his opinion of James Hird.
What Charters said in his interview with ASADA on James Hird/EFC only time will tell.
I assume the EFC players were tested by ASADA last year and they have a test that detects Thymosin beta-4? Am I right that there have been no positive tests?
Poor governance, checks and balances....sure.
But a deliberate regime of cheating....mmm...doubtful.

The players will be cleared and the AFL will be in a bind. They will want to slap us hard enough under that ridiculous "bringing the game into disrepute" charge to satisfy the lynch mob footy public. Go too hard though and start stripping points and draft picks and this shit ends up in court.

If players are suspended then yes you can expect and accept being slammed with penalties. But if you have been found to not have transgressed any laws then good luck having those sanctions held up in a court of law.

I'm very confident we will get off, way too much smoke coming from windy hill and those close to it to feel otherwise. And the fact that I am confident drives people who know me nuts, I am loving the level disgust and vitriol sent my way. Doesn't happen at work anymore because you don't **** with the bloke in an excavator.

I hope he used that exact phrase - it nicely sums up the media's attitude to this saga.
No. In my opinion he was basically asking if people are even willing to give us the presumption of innocence any more in the media. He then put that question to the listeners and the answer was a resounding no. I am currently accepting the fact that most people have decided we are guilty of using peds and virtually nothing is going to change their minds.
