It will be interesting to see if Robinson comes out and gives more specifics about the program though. like on what basis did the club believe AOD was WADA/ASADA compliant? Remember Robinson hasnt been interviewed by ASADA and therefore probably hasnt agreed to any terms regarding releasing details before the report is out. It could potentially be a favourable interview for us fans.
I am sure robinson was interviewed by asada

Well the quote from Robinson was

Dank "what your asking me to do is run a black op?"

Now that implies danks words not hird's.

The club statement makes reference to hird actually Saying it. Now Robinson has no need to lie really. What does he gain? So if we take that as fact for now, the club has disputed the claim which we have but not exactly.

It's the same has A lot of people on here pointing out jobe "believed" he took AOD.

We are disputing hird asked him to run a black op. doesn't mean that what hird and that asked him to do can be construed as one.
Yes he does mate all be it not blatantly. He is making a play for his future and we are in the gun.

Don't be naive that the weapon hasn't got a few calculated moves to ensure his case is relevant...

Yes but his case involves clearing his name to show his suspension was unjustified. Hard to do that if you are running a program that set out to deliberately manipulate ASADA or intentionally cheat. I wonder if he'll heap shit on Dank.

I don't blame him though.. the guy is a glorified weight lifter.. and we tried to make him head of 'high performance' which he wasn't ready for..

I do feel sorry for the weapon.. probably the one that gets hurt the most in all this. Hird and players will be fine.. administrators are fine and one is already re-employed.. Dank's reputation was already on skid row...

The Weapon is now finished in this industry.. but important to note that it is not just because of the saga.. the amount of soft tissue injuries last year was completely unacceptable under any bodies guidelines.

That could be true but I an fairly trusting. In my mind it is more likely this "black ops" thing was making sure other clubs didn't know what we were doing. I don't believe hird ever asked for it to be sinister.

Robinson may be twisting it but I don't think it is categorically false like the statement says either. More likely halfway

Correct, the media hasn't provided the context for that comment. I agree that fits with the 'keep it secret' deal.

Black ops refers to doing stuff "outside protocol". In other words, cheating

A black operation or black op is a covert operation by a government, a government agency, or a military organization. This can include activities by private companies or groups. A black operation typically involves activities that are highly clandestine and often outside of standard military/intelligence protocol, sometimes against the law.

In your opinion, of a phrase spoken to by someone else in a conversation you were not a party to and of which you have no knowledge of the context.

Are you Caroline Wilthen?
Hey, I'm just defining what is usually meant by "black ops". I got no idea what context it was used in by Dank, for all we know it could mean just secret or confidential.

I don't even believe the "black ops" stuff even happened

We don't know the context. Hell we have heard one snippet.

I just don't think the club statement is an ironclad denial. It is denying something that was said yet the quote isn't even from hird. The club are denying something that hasn't even been alleged. It's giving the perception of an ironclad "this is wrong" when it hasn't really refuted anything that's been said.

Wander over to BB few on there have mentioned this line of thinking.

There will always be 'pros' and 'cons' to any media strategy. But I'm right behind this new one.

I don't care if the cynical media want to twist it.. I think the club HAS to start responding to all these ridiculous assertions.. no more 'wait for the report that people longed ceased to care about'... keep it up.

Thnx Ant.. was just interested to hear your take.. I've a personal view that the better things went on field.. the more and more agitated the club became at the prospect of giving up its points to 'appease' the masses.

I think the club was too quick to allow 'bad governance' to interfere with the drug investigation. The governance led to the WHY of a situation that hadn't even yet proven the WHAT. I hope that makes sense. I would have thought that you first prove an offence/error has occurred and THEN establish the reasons why that error came to pass.

I expect a 'please explain' letter to be sent to J Ralph about his latest effort.. how you link an article about the reigning brownlow medallist returning to the field after injury to "possible the last game players take the field" is absolutely astonishing. Ralph has obviously been a gutter rat all his life (unlike Caro who sank lower as the years wore on) but sheeshh he has taken it to a new level.
Slowly but surely Mr.Frown is becoming worse than Caro-whine. I've decided to slam him every day on his twitter account.
I've absolutely had enough of his shit
