Is it possible AFL may seek a suspension for Hird, not a sacking? Like a half or full season. It of course it would have to be for good reason..

Bomber brought up a good point last night about trusting your staff to do their job. Remember at end of '06 when the Cats did a full review and Bomber looked on thin ice, one of the keys to that review was freeing Bomber from other tasks and concentrate on coaching.

FFS Leigh Matthews has come out and said he wouldn't have known everything that went on at Brisbane, even while players were given IV drips during the farking game!!

I have no doubt suspending Hird will be one of the AFL's recommendations. Standard practice for this type of event is fines and suspensions of club officials.

well i was totally wrong about what i thought was going to happen on the 7:30 report...

Hird hating Hawthorn and Carlton is totally relevant...

When I was watching the footy on the weekend. There was a bit when They were all talking about Evans and what it all means. Luke Darcy had a certain look about him like he wanted to blurt something out. Instead he politely moved on quickly when was expected to give his opinion. It's hard to explain but it made me feel positive.
I could be completely wrong though
Could be that Evans can throw Demetriou under the bus

Seems as if this black op thing may be correct but in the context of Hird wanted to know what other clubs Hawthorn, Collingwood and West Coast were using and to keep his supplement program a secret.

How the **** does one prove where the needle went?
That's what I assume ASADA must (somehow) prove. The players would most likely not remember, so unless there is a document saying where it would be injected, we are fine. Interestingly, this stuff was used on Manly players during Dank's time there and there has been no fuss on that

Yeah, I'm just wondering at the use of having ban on intravenous injections, all it would take is for someone to have a legit intravenous injection scheduled at the same time and for the doctor to conveniently mix up the needles.

I suppose Robinson used that term to emphasize the secrecy of the program. The club has never denied that their were confidentiality forms for people to sign to make sure they didn't let rival clubs know what we were up to. Not sure what is wrong with that, most businesses keep their R&D stuff secret, that's what keeps them ahead of the competition.
Nothing illegal in trying to obtain a competitive advantage by retaining intellectual property inside your organisation.

It will be interesting to see if Robinson comes out and gives more specifics about the program though. like on what basis did the club believe AOD was WADA/ASADA compliant? Remember Robinson hasnt been interviewed by ASADA and therefore probably hasnt agreed to any terms regarding releasing details before the report is out. It could potentially be a favourable interview for us fans.
I keep hearing differing versions of this, and I had come to believing that he had testified - for 15hrs someone said.
Has he or hasn't he been interviewed by ASADA?

7.30 report revealing new (I think) text messages between Dank and Hird. Suggesting Pies, Hawks & WCE running a strong supplement program, though from what i can tell nothing illegal about it. A particular supplement mentioned (name escapes me) for injections that someone with more knowledge than me can probably identify the legal status of?

edit: To clarify new I meant hasn't been revealed before - i.e still from 2012 obviously

As I and others posted earlier - It was obvious that other clubs were pushing the boundaries.

What do you think happened?
Just in regards to the actovegin.
The whole injections into the stomach was getting a lot of airtime a while back, and the fact that this is illegal when not injected into a vein offers a pretty plausible explanation to the whole 'why inject in the stomach?' question that came up a while back

He was suspended from EFC so technically he was still employed by us and would have been compelled to be interviewed by ASADA. It's the Ziggy report from which he wasn't interviewed iirc
