At the other end are the one-eyed Bomber fans, struggling to comprehend the thought that their club might - at the very best - have made some major mistakes. Some are focusing their anger on the media - almost as if there were journalists at the club last year injecting players.
Do not like. Nobody is blaming the media for Essendon's predicament. Most of us will admit there were serious governance problems at the club, these Journalists are ignoring why we are attacking most of them. It is quite sad that even Journalists like Emma are falling in line.

The middle paragraphs sum up something else rather well, too:

Now, help me out here people: what does that sound just a little bit like?
what iv'e been saying for nigh on two weeks now..

You should see my FB fights pleading for the general public to stop with the witch hunt and the media really needs to be accountable for the storm they have created.

The most saddening thing I have heard in all of this was that AusKick kids don't want to wear their Essendon jumpers with pride at AusKick because they will be bemoaned for barracking for a "drug club". THESE KIDS are 5 - 10 years of age, and their views will be that of their parents who would all most likely be reading the papers and forcing them onto the kids.

Dank has also alluded to EFC players blood tests who had disturbingly low hormone levels. He and doctors knew based on these tests they were likely to get injured but legally they could not alter them.

Now surely these blood tests with low levels show that the players were actually under performing last year due to the low levels shown in blood tests.

Word has it ASADA may consider trying to demonstrate Essendon's training program last season was far more intense and will argue the supplements allowed them to train longer and stronger than they are now in 2013. This to me is a very flawed interpretation as clearly Essendon over-trained in 2012 resulting in lots of injuries and in 2013 have backed the training load off to reduce the toll.

I blame the media for bringing the game into disrepute. If we pause at this moment in time we're not guilty and the negativity has been driven by people who do not have the benefit of the facts*. These same people have manipulated public opinion to suit their interests.

*When I talk about a fact, I mean a material fact which is provided in its full context and which is either agreed to by the parties to the dispute or irrefutable. There are no facts unless these criteria are met.

Hawthorn have a doctor stationed at Olympic Park medical centre who carries out the process of removing players blood and storing it. The blood is spun to get the plasma out and when player is injured he has this injected. This is the article that the age ran last year. ASADA have ticked off on this - Nick riewoldt spoke of receiving weekly treatment in his knee of this technique. Essendon and other club players also using it with performance enabling results - reducing injury times by weeks...

This makes me annoyed when I read criticism of injections - nothing wrong with that culture unless it is illegal.
I heard a lecture from this Doc at a conference in Melbourne a few weeks ago. Sounds impressive for healing chronic tendonitis mainly

The question is, if you have a unnatural level of one of these natural hormones, should you be able to use a PED that will bring those levels back to normal?

She said Essendon fans are acting like the media injected the players. She misrepresented why Essendon fans have an issue with Journalists. Nobody is blaming them for this situation. If she wasn't falling in line she wouldn't make such an inaccurate statement and misrepresent what most Essendon fans feel.

What she wrote was a fluff piece.

I continually get a pop-up from BF asking me to fill in a survey.

Frankly its a waste of time.

I don't understand why standards have been allowed to drop so much !

It's interesting to read bumped threads from 5+ years ago - The level of posting/dialogue/banter is infinitely higher than 2013.

Because admin cared about more than page views and ad clicks in 2008.

Give it a break.

Emma has sat back and discussed the morphing of the debate from possible illegal supplements to sacking Hird, to EFC losing points/draft picks, without any proof that the players have been given illegal supplements. And she is writing from the prism of watching the media/essendon supporters/other clubs supporters fight to the death ( often irrationally ) through all forms of media.

It's unfortunate, that Emma clearly stated that James Hird has the support of the club/board/players/supporters.

And I can suggest in the strongest terms that Emma Quayle doesn't fall into line.
