Dillon could be charged as a breach of duty and with breach of confidentiality.

So far that is two senior AFL figures that could be in very hot legal water over this.

And for what.. cause we didn't ring two references? Cause we didn't hold their hands for every injection?
And don't forget, Jimmy wanted a little colour in his complexion. It's just not a good look, rines.

Finnis grandstanding stating the bleeding obvious when it comes to looking after players welfare however crossed the line IMO when he intimated EFC were guilty of the allegations.
The AFLPA should also look in its own backyard.

Does the AFLPA have any policies re supplement use? Does it provide any education or advice to its members on their obligations and the risks of non-compliance?

Does the AFLPA fully support the Anti-Doping Code? Including the strict liability bit?

etc.

I know you're being facetious, but please don't trivialise our failures, which are substantial. It only legitimises the other side's point of view. Our saving grace in all of this has been how badly the ensuing process has been handled by the AFL.

If you will, just watch the first minute of Andy's presser today:

Very interesting that Vlad uses Dillon's name.. that Dillon assessed there being enough evidence, Dillon thought there was enough for charges, Dillon created the charges... my prediction that Vlad would cut and run when this turned ugly starting to look a little more likely.

So we are going to call in the club presidents and brief them on a CONFIDENTIAL investigation.. tell them OUR side of the story and that is somehow OK? Does EFC have an EQUAL chance to respond during this 'special' meeting.. do we have OUR general counsel coming in to brief the club presidents on OUR case and OUR position?

It's like bringing in the 'jury' two weeks before the hearing and outline the prosecutions case... unbelievable really.

I hope Little does the 'ring around' tonight and gets enough presidents to commit to a spill of the executive. Disgraceful and just getting worse. The AFL seems to want to bring the entire comp down to save face.. ugly.
The issue is can we get support off the other clubs? What % majority would we need? They would probably acting outside their own best interests, and would have to show the strength in character and resolve that we have demonstrated. I just don't see it in them. The AFL have been very careful making sure to isolate only us. Even though Dank had ties at other clubs. Even though practices similar to what we have been accused of have been carried out at other clubs.

I can only see us winning this if we take the fight to court. Let the actions of the AFL and the Essendon FC in this affair be examined impartially, and then decide who is guilty of prejudicial conduct and bringing the game into disrepute.

Speaking of care for their players welfare where was Finnis and the AFLPA when Jobe's reputation was allowed to be destroyed by the AFL's lack of clarity over AOD being legal?

This has become bigger than football now - it's about justice and fairness. People's reputations have been smeared, and while the club has been at best negligent, and we've owned up to severe issues with our governance over the past couple of seasons, there are accusations being thrown that strike at the heart of people's characters, accusations that are not supported by evidence. This is an ugly and filthy mess. It didn't need to be, but the AFL allowed it to become such in their eagerness to be seen to have a 'big win' against a club that has been central to everything that is great about our sport for a hundred years and more.

I'm proud of Little for setting out the lines and taking a stand. The AFL's conduct has been loathsome, and they need to pay the price for it.

In this instance he is only trying to paint a picture that somebody impartial to the investigation has examined it and laid the charges.

Looking at the charge sheet, I am pretty disappointed at what has happened at our club to be honest, especially after reading Reid's email. To me, individuals are never bigger than the club and it is sad to see some of our staff have conducted themselves the way they have.
It seems like the environment at the club was not a safe place at the time for our players and the health of the players is much more important than winning a flag. A flag is only temporary. The health of the players however could be permanent for them. As a fan, yes I would like for the club to win a flag, but not through taking substances that are border line or risking the health of the players.

I am sorry to say this, but I think Hird should do the right thing and stand down. The image of our club is getting dragged through the mud and an individual is not bigger than the club, even if he was one of the best players in the history of our club.

I remained objective throughout this whole saga. It is pretty obvious now that some of our staff screwed up, including Hird.

i still don't believe that we should punish the players by stripping our premiership points, but fine the club and strip us from draft picks. Then move on until ASADA completed the investigation.

Move on from this saga. Really drained our players and supporters.

Close! Admin gave us laptops because they were tired of replacing broom handles, and didn't approve of what some chose to do with those broom handles. Allegedly.

You can't control what they do at other clubs. Allegedly. Anyway, tell me that you at least get a standard issue drinking bird.
