Have. And stand by my point it's not THAT bad. I'm not saying your wrong but you may be jumping a bit.

Or are you more worried about the young guys and us not getting good kids to replace them?

If so I'd argue we have done well out of rookie and psd drafts. Plus free agency. I don't this it is AS bad as your making out.

But difference of opinion ain't bad :)

I go there every now and again. It makes me feel smart.
I only go there to ascertain Foam Levels.
High Foam levels=We are doing something right or we have had a positive article written for us.
Medium Foam Levels=The status Quo.
Low Foam Levels=No Bomber posters could be farked posting for a while.

Would you re-sign a contract if we lost points in 2014.

This is what I mean.

EFC needs to sort out a fair and reasonable penalty as quickly as possible.

Read the list again.
Bellchambers, Tom - 2013
Fletcher, Dustin - 2013
Winderlich, Jason - 2013
Crameri, Stewart - 2013
Pears, Tayte - 2013
Browne, Alex - 2013
Colyer, Travis - 2013
O'Brien, Nicholas - 2013
Hooker, Cale - 2013

These are the ones I really hope we keep. Though I wouldn't be opposed to a Bellchambers trade.

I think a fair punishment for governance. And I don't mean duty of care and all that but strictly governance

1.5-2mill fine
AFL mediated training for all essendon officials.
Heavy auditing of club for next few years
Then a sweetener for the AFL, forfeit first draft pick for this year.

That is what I feel a governance issue requires. Look at a business. If a error is made or found extensive retraining and new processes are designed.

Now we have put in new practices apparantly.
And we have lost the entire management chain for the affected department.

So far 4 people have lost their jobs, or 5 if you include Evans.

I'd say we have been punished. (governance wise)

I can accept that deal disgruntlely, but the EFC should bargin back with.
"if we get Hird to drop the court case against you Vlad, we want Hird's penalty reduce to 3 months suspension only. "
I totally disagree, I'd rather any deal leave the door open for the 4 Horsemen to continue their case(s). I want Vlad Inc feeling the full glare of testifying in the Supreme Court. That is the only way they'll ever get their names cleared. Any other arrangement will leave them tainted.

We won't lose point in 2014. That's just not logical.

Besides how long is the off season? Plenty of time to sort that out. If we don't lose points this year when we may have had any benefit from and banned substances they won't take them in 2014.

Pretty sure Crameri is gone, the lad just doesn't give enough to the team anymore.

The others will stay. Fletcher & Winderlich 1 season deals. Pears, Browne & Colyer 2 season deals. O'Brien & Hooker 3 season deals i would think.

Also, Bellchambers has ALMOST signed a new deal for the last 3-4 weeks. Can't see him going anywhere

In fairness Yaco, I'm pretty sure that's what EFC has been trying to do, it's just that Darth Vlad and the Empire want it all.

How many times can those fuarkheads on the HTB board bust their load over the mere smell of a anti-essendon article?

They must walk around in pain constantly.
Recent studies have found that there has been a 95% decrease in anger and frustration amoungst the lowest educated and skilled people in our community. This has been directly attrributed to the refocusing of this section of our community's brain capacity in regards to anger and frustration at the Essendon Football Clubs plight. A spokes person from this study indicated bins have been emptied more often and streets cleaned more efficiently.

The AFL are pleased that their "processes" have contributed in a positive way in our community. Less violence and agression is always a good thing, an AFL spoke person stated. Justice and truth arnt necessarily important the AFL concluded, and this 7 month experiment has proved this.

Besides cant we trade for picks?
This. 1st and 2nd round draft picks for two years equates to four players. Less if in either of those two years we take a F/S that someone else bids high on. Draft penalties impacted Carlton because they were right at the end of a "cycle". A lot of older players, they'd topped up (Elliott: "we dont rebuild at caaaaarlton"). On top of that, after they were hit, their recruiting under Pagan was awful - recycle duds or players past their prime.

Our list is currently quite young, only 4 players over 29 years of age, none certain to be there next year (yes I know Fletch will play forever). I'd back the club to keep the list going in the right direction, particularly given free agency is something that didn't exist for Carlton back then.

If Hird is adamant he did nothing wrong and no peds were taken (if they were, all bets are off) then I'll be happy for the club to fight for his right to continue. Not because he's James Hird (sorry, I've been around a while, no one is bigger than the club) but because I'm a big believer in loyalty to people who have served you well.

That said, if he were to stand down to take some of the heat out of the situation I wouldn't blame him at all. I cannot begin to imagine the pressure he's under, it must be immense.

Dear members and supporters

Thanks for the phone calls, letters, emails and text messages of support that have been flooding into the Club over the past months and particularly in recent days.

In addition to your strong support, another clear and consistent message is that you want these matters brought to a conclusion as soon as possible.

The Board and everyone at the Club is listening to you and we share your view.

The ongoing controversy is harmful to our players and their families, our officials, the Club, other AFL clubs and the AFL itself.

Despite the events of recent days, we believe these matters can be resolved before too long.

At yesterday's meeting of AFL Club Chairmen and Presidents, I stressed we wanted matters resolved… but also that matters need to be concluded in a fair manner with charges and penalties that reflect the Club's actual failings and the evidence.

We have made mistakes in terms of governance and people management, and we apologise for them. We also accept there will be AFL sanctions as a consequence…but the evidence does not extend to drug cheating, and we're working to ensure that the charges and ultimate penalties reflect this.

Thanks for your support of our players, our officials and the Board through these difficult times.

In addition to thanking those of us who take memberships year-in and year-out, in particular I'd like to thank and welcome our new members who’ve signed up during 2013 in record numbers .

We're all part of Essendon's large and growing family. Our family extends far and wide and together we will come through these tough times stronger, wiser and in a position to build on our 140-year history.

We will keep you updated with any developments over the coming days.

Go Bombers!
