Player Watch Sam Berry - Contract Extension to End of 2026

It was only a couple of years ago we were a bit inside heavy and lacked outside run. Without knowing too much about these guys, except what I’ve read. We look to have invested in inside grunt. Hopefully we have the development of outside run to complement it!

We have some nice pieces to start that sector. Hamill has dash and dare and should end up a damn good half back. Sky is the limit for Sholl seeing he's already torn a team to shreds and isn't 10 games in (and even unattended, you still need to have it to do that), Milera will be a nice piece, though might end up being more complimentary than star. Another line breaker would be ideal.

I would like to see us add to this area in 2021, but the building blocks are there to be a pretty dangerous team on the outside.

Good to see us pick some hard at it players. It seems that Berry is one of them along with Pedlar. I am looking forward to seeing them play and I hope that they help lift the intensity levels of the team.

, Sam Flanders and Riley Baldi in front of Berry for most of the season....maybe people should check his numbers when the 3 players mentioned weren't playing. Bit hard to dominate when you're 4th midfielder off the rank especially behind Serong and Flanders that went in the 1st round in 2019, Serong at #8 and Flanders at #11.

Maybe get informed before just looking at raw numbers.

Would have been Gippsland Power's No.1 midfielder in his top age year if the season had gone ahead in 2020 and would have worn out the ink in the statistician's pen racking up the numbers.

Totally reasonable too, that's a pretty powerful top line.

By the way Berry sounds though, is it realistic he could find himself in our round 1 side with a good preseason?
