How do you select non-All Australians when the original stated intention of the Australian IR team was to put current All-Australians in the squad. On top of that you put noted shit blokes like Goddard in the squad to boot.

This wouldn't have happened had Doc been in that team like he rightfully should have been.

Came here to send my condolences. Absolutely shithouse news, no two ways about it.

But i wanna leave you guys with a thought. Off season of 2014-2015 we lost a coach, CEO, best player/captain (Griffen), Brownlow medallist (granted he was cooked) and arguably our classiest player in Higgins. Then in first pre-season game Libba does his ACL. We thought we were certainties for the spoon or at least bottom 4. We played finals that year and our side took us on a magical ride, never enjoyed a season so much.

It’s always darkest before the dawn. Good luck for 2018. Here’s hoping you’ve got some pleasant surprises ahead of you.

Any long term injury hurts, especially to a guy like Doc in his prime. Thankfully he is still young enough to play some decent footy upon his return. This just gives more kids the opportunity to step up

Severely impacts our on field talent and versatility, he was an option to replace Gibbs in the midfield.

I've already put forward several concerns I have that may come about from this situation.

The wound is raw, so maybe a little emotional but on the topic of what Docherty means to our back-line; No one can come close to replacing his influence, as has been noted via his B&F and B&F runner up along with being an AA, in the past two years.

I'm angry and I'm not liking it.
