Sam Fisher is a young tall forward, about 6'4". Very athletic type and has been with West Adelaide for two years from (I think) the Riverland area. He has developed nicely, especially this year under Shaun Rehn and played nearly every game at league level. Still learning and developing, but looks a likely type in a year with a bit more development.

I have watched Sam a fair bit this year. He has really impressed me. He is still a bit skinny (193 cm / 80 kg) but is a good overhead mark and has played a majority of the games for West Adelaide at CHF. Shows promise. A bit of a late developed but definetly worth a ppunt IMHO. A 20 year old.

Stiffy, I saw a bit of him as well towards the end of the year and he did looking promising. I reckon he'd be suited to a HFF in the AFL possibly as a third tall or a floating forward.

Sam comes from the Riverland in South Australia. Played for Barmera- Monash and comes from a prominent local footballing family.
His cousin Tony Fisher played a few league games for South Adelaide back in the 1980s.
Sam's father Terry coaches Barmera's A grade and his younger brother currently plays juniors for Westies.
Sam is a very talented golfer and his father tried to ensure a pro career, but it didn't happen. Hence he went back to football after about three years of not playing.
As a footballer has a good strong mark, kicks okay. Needs some work on his skills as they are a bit raw - a by product of time away from the game.
Could be a key defender/forward. Reasonably mobile for a lad of size.
League debut this season.

I played against him in 2002. He had a good game in horrible conditions and his side got thumped by about 100 points.
