what a player! who else agrees?
i was there the day he played his first game for us, coming down from myrtleford. a few champions have come from there over the years.
kekovich was the best of them though. yep, even better than ablett, and i trust you'll agree with me on that one.
1975 what a year! i remember i was 17 at the time, and our fist premiership victory. had my first beer that day. and guess who bought it for me? slamming sammy kekovich!
back then i still had aspirations of making the grade myself. who else here wanted to play for NORTH MELBOURNE as a youngster?
i never got to play for them, but they gave me a job in the changerooms instead. cleaning up, emergencies, and crowd control.
