he was talked about on MMM Melbourne this morning, sooking because carltons president won't front "the media" but will take up an invitation on MMM's breakfast show. sam reckons "the club and members deserve better"

ie - sam can't get a look in at the club and is crying real tears about it, just like he nearly did on Monday night when Campbell Brown didn't take it back

Yep, don’t want the paer getting a better draft pick than us!
More.to the point it is just click bait.

Our big signings have happened Rory and Lynch done. Ollie is signed up as well. The Gov leaving story has lost some traction.

Polec is next on the list of SA based players guys like McClure can sling made up shit about to get click bait.

Can't wait till Polec signs then the breaking news that Norf have tendered out of contract DMac an offer from Scoop McClure.

Polec to re-sign within a week or so.....

Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

According to Sam McClure from SEN Breakfast, Polec, out of contract at season’s end, has received a significant, long-term offer from the Kangaroos, reportedly over $700,000 a year.

“He’s in the middle of contract negotiations with Port Adelaide and is keen to stay, but there are a couple of Victorian clubs circling,” McClure told SEN Breakfast.

So he might sign with Port or he might sign with someone else. Love how he reports the big clickbait stuff and then gives himself an out straight away. Amazing stuff McClure.

Even if it's true though, haven't North suffered enough?

It is just a stupid concept though.

A player who demonstrated an inability to play away from Adelaide being poached ? makes no sense, moreso, why would anyone in their right mind Target Polec? I'd rather Brodie Smith coming back from a Knee anyday

About 3 or 4 minuets before the end of the show, did anyone else hear Brown say “Sam now hates me” with a really cheeky grin as if he was just taking the piss.

McClure didn’t find his original comment funny and from the shot of his face, I don’t think he found the last comment funny either as he just gave him daggers.

McClure is a flog.

Its probably because he's made so many bad calls recently that he knows something like this could snowball on him. And his entire house of cards could come crumbling down!

I would pay to watch that happen!

Or he doesn’t have a sense of humor and that’s all Campbell Brown was trying to imply. However, McClure took it personally as you said his house of cards is falling in.

Behind every joke is a veil of truth! And in my experience the worse the recipient takes the joke, the closer it is too the truth!

McClure's body language and tone after the comment is pretty damning IMO!

The body language tonight will be interesting.
Edit: Monday night. It’s the Front Bar tonight.

I have no idea if Sam McClure is related to Carlton great Mark McClure but last night Mark was jumping up and down about Carlton getting a priority pick because they will finish bottom. One statement he made was that it seems like priority picks are reserved for the Non Victorian teams which isnt fair. It was a real boohoo. Personally I think Carlton have stuffed up their own club and and dont deserve any help at all. How many picks have they had from the top five players over the years and they still havent had any success. Before they get any more help they need to fix up their own environment, coaches and support staff first.

But back to how Mark carried on about the unfairness of assistance the Non Vic clubs get. Can you imagine what he would have to say if Carlton had to travel interstate every second week or if Carlton had to play the Grand Final at the Adelaide Oval or in Perth. I think from memory the Crows havent got anywhere near any assistance since entering the comp.

Come on Mark, I have always respected your commentary and your tough attitude towards the game but really crying foul about the Non Vic teams is not a good look.

Priority picks should be reserved for clubs whose list has a demonstrable lack of top-end talent. Either they've left, or had to retire early, etc.

When half of your best 22 is made up of first round picks, a reasonable argument could be made that adding another one isn't going to help the problem.

They are not related (Mark Maclure vs Sam McClure.) Sam's dad was Geoff McClure, also a former sports reporter at the Age.
