Modra ****s all over Gov from an exceedingly great height. That's a very stupid post from a well reasoned bloke

one of us will look pretty stupid in a couple of months :)
Have you got any actual news that wasn't made up from McClure?

Gov and Cameron both were explosive and did unexpected things.
Solid and dependable will get you into the eight but it's the X Factor guys that push you over the hump.
It doesn't matter if they don't do much all game, when they do it lifts the team.
These guys panic defences, they are always wary of them and when they are on, they are incredibly hard to control.
Remember Cameron's preliminary final, just explosive, 5 goals, he could not be stopped.
Last year we had that perfect blend of solid contributors and X factor.
Gov going down before the Grand final was a huge loss, it's hard to quantify how that affected us, set up wise.

Sure Cameron was traded out, that couldn't be helped but this year has been a complete write off for Gov.
Our forward line all year just hasn't been potent.
Eddie hasn't found the space, Tex has been injured a lot and Mitch was out of form or injured.
The X factor he brings when on song is huge, it makes us unpredictable and dangerous. A high marking, ambidextrous player with pace are what every team searches for.
Why is he in demand by interstate teams even though he still has two year to run on his contract?
The answer is pretty simple, players like Gov are far and few between and create all sorts of match up problems.
I would hate to see McGovern gone at seasons end.
He's 24 years old next year with 46 games under his belt, injury free and with a good pre-season he is coming into his prime.
Gov is under contract, make him honour that contract, he's a professional.
The Crows really need to be adding essential pieces to the forward line not subtracting them.
Every club is looking to improve their squad but trading out Gov IMO is not the way to go next season.

There is a well-favored BF poster who has mention that Gov was unhappy and would be requesting a trade.
when queried several other jumped in and have mentioned his information is always correct.
that's the thing - he's got 2 years left on his contract. he can request a trade all he likes, doesn't mean he's going to leave

That was old news though after all the pre-season camp mess, which I believe since has been resolved with Gov.

If it turns out that the AFL give Carlton and Gold coast a priority pick at the start of the first round/or after their 1st pick but they have to be traded for a player/players from another club, I Wouldn't mind that, as long as its just a player and there's no extra picks involved.

Priority picks are a load of shit. When a club is getting belted week in, week out, and have been for years, what good is another young talented kid going to do? Surely at some point the onus has to be put on that club to address their recruiting and development programs and if need be assist them to sort those areas out. It's such a ridiculous band-aid approach that also punishes every other club in the league.

Makes you wonder how SOS is not further under the pump. All he's done is recruit second string players. There hasn't been much list building going on, just volume trading. Sounds a bit like Port actually.
