Because he know's our players too well. He's heard the same message for the last 13 years. Good career move.

Think of it as Sammy doing his last bit to help hawthorn out and get us a young player that will contribute for years to come.Personally I can't put a positive spin on this news like some others seem to be. Will be devastated to see one of our all time greats running around in another jumper for a couple of years. If ever there was someone I expected to finish their career as a one club player, it was Mitch.
His best chance of being a coach is to be an assistant as HAWTHORN. Nobody gets hired without this per-requesite.We are actually looking after his best interests...

And Clarko is the guy driving that change. In Clarko we trust.Footy is such an amazing business these days. The only constant is change.

He needs to work elsewhere first. You need to see how other people do business, get different experiences. As others have mentioned in 5+ years he may be looking at a senior gig, perhaps with us.His best chance of being a coach is to be an assistant as HAWTHORN. Perhaps thre could be some kind of "gentleman's agreement" between Clarko and Simmo that Mitch won't play in Eagles v Hawks games - they can list him as having a corkie! One positive is that it is West Coast. Even if we play them twice a year, there is a good chance he will never play against us in Melbourne again, and I'll never have to watch him play live in a non-Hawks jumper.

Devastated but can see the logic - would prefer him not play for them next year and retire - go over as an assistant
he will be our next Senior coach when Clarko gives it away -
The thing i admire is the way the 2 clubs have gone about it - be talking about it for a couple of weeks and not even a murmur of a leek
will miss you Crimmins the second
We are not. The era is over.My ONLY concern, is that Mytch departing weakens our midfield considerably, and counters much of the benefit of gaining both T Mitchell and JOM.
I am not sure if we are challengers again next year without him.
Fair enough, emotional time I can respect that.
Did you take one for a big hit or a cheap jumper punch?lol copping thread ban from draft and trading.
If clarko has spoken to mitch about this in agreeance months ago as reported then this is a strategic hawthorn move and we should all embrace it, as much as it may be hard to swallow right now.
I really have no idea. I didn't troll at all. I don't care, small club mentality banningDid you take one for a big hit or a cheap jumper punch?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Cant we give the Eagles SCHOENMAKERS instead?
