I've just gone hunting for a general opinion thread on Sammy and come up with zip. There seems to be hundreds of threads for individual incidents where people give him a spray and call his time and so on. He's much like Aker in that he will drag out opinions in people and it's for that reason I'm posting this thread up. A few of us are getting a bit off topic over at the lions board on our media alert thread since the interview with Browny the other night and this looks like the right place to be having this conversation. I'm not going to say what I've already said over there, but will simply say I think Sam gets a bit of a harsh rap.

In relation to Sam Newman, it is surprising the amount of people who will spend their time watching and commenting on a person who does and says nothing of real importance.

For now no doubt.. Wait until old man does something that winds everyone up again (should be in 3 nights time). I couldn't care less mate.. just creating a space to have the conversation (i was surprised as hell one of these didn't already exist n have about 300 pages to it) . And, as I said, I'm not going to choke up a good thread with irrelevant s**t.

Agreed. He should really talk about footy. That's what he is meant to do.
