What did you guys think of Sam's interview with Buckley at half time in the Brisbane match?
It all seemed very contrived to me, in terms of the actual questions and answers and Sam's delivery which was no real surprise of course. But Nathan came across as very genuine in his replies and manner, which made it quite frustrating to me that he didn't really get a chance to say anything interesting.
It's difficult to explain what I mean - Sam's questions seemed to have been designed to sound like he was asking the tough ones and putting Nathan under the pump, yet there was barely a question where you couldn't have guessed what the reply was going to be. (I'm talking about questions like "Do you think you'll ever captain the team to a Premiership?" and the "Wouldn't you rather do it your way instead of doing what Malthouse says" stuff - WTF did you think he was going to say??)
I'm a definite non-Collingwood fan and non-Buckley fan. But the way he presented in that interview, I really would have liked to hear what he'd have had to say to a decent interviewer.
