We could on trade Pick 1 for Hogan, which would be a fair trade for all concerned. So Hogan and Pick 4 for Fyfe, gee that is getting close to good value.

Hogan has been with Melbourne for 12 months. He has been devalued to pick 4.
I would take Pick 1 and 4 for Hogan and 2, letting us get Aish

Ultimately we could just get him to say to melbourne he wants out and is homesick.
i prefer hogan to boyd also so we get pick 1 + 2.
Good deal but feel bad for saying it.
FFC have said fyfe is off limits.All this fyfe talk is really starting to piss me off.

I think it is obvious that Freo would be going after Sam Reid. He is the obvious choice for a small forward in the competition: he is 196 cm, 96 kg, and he is 21. If we were to get him, we would have to pay big time!
And pick 1 & 4 could turn into tambling and deledio.
No thanks, I'll stick with the lad that's got the points on the board.

Doubt he'd be leaving (and if he was it would be back to Victoria), contracted for another 4 years and I don't think you guys have the trade currency to get a deal done, with Buddy coming I don't think we can afford to bring in more players and pick 16 is not enough (don't want to strengthen a rival as well).

Fyfe is the most valuable player in our team (especially big picture). From a playing role, fan, and elitistism sense. He is our Pendlebury. Would they let their star player go??
We should keep him with as big money as needed until his late 20's. Keeps our window open immensely.
I agree with the kind of head-scratching response when a tipping point for trade value is touted. Invaluable I say! Mundy is getting older would be why fyfe is also off limits.

Or Scully and Morabito (no offence to Anthony, just bad luck has been cruel). Or Kreuzer and Morton. Could get players who are injury prone, or never live up to potential.
I honestly think it is hard to find a 1+4 combination that I would trade for Fyfe. Maybe Murphy + Kennedy in 2005, though Murphy is a bit of a squib. The risk is simply not worth it. Fyfe must stay at all costs. I would only trade him for say Pendlebury or Watson or maybe a few others of that ilk, which is never going to happen.
We are in premiership mode not rebuild mode.

wouldnt do watson. AGE, Fyfe developing still however 1 + 4 on the condition that it gets Hogan + 2 from Dee's is not a bad deal, 1 and 4 on their own is tempting but probably a NO!

My reaction to trading Fyfe
Why are we so determined to sell someone who could potentially be as good as or even eclipse the Pav for picks that have never even played AFL level football? 
As much as we love Fyfe, 1 and 4 would be enough to open the premiership window for some time to come. Bondy, give me time to think.
Oh boy, I'm not sure if people realise how much time and effort it can take to develop some of these kids.
Who would give up a developed, hard bodied proven mid fielder for speculative draft picks? Fyfe is just hitting his straps after how many years in the system??
