Sam & Rex on 3AW

Sam rang in during Sports Tonight Friday night edition with Clinton and Rex. Rex had aired is strong opinion on the Eddie / 9 attack (negative) and Sam rang in and went about on a personally attack of the likes never heard before in a public forum. it was the most amazing radio i've ever heard and one that will, IMO, be the start of the end of Sam Newmans public life and wealth as Rex and his lawyers will break the man. You all have to try and get the transcript of the conversation.

What did other listners think of what was said???

Couldn't agree more. Newman certainly doesn't know how to grow old gracefully, however if anyone deserves a serve in football it is that arrogant knowall Rex Hunt.

he called him a 'liar', a 'fraud' and a 'prick' and brought up personal conversations that Rex had last Sunday with Sam, his wife and friends over dinner about what Rex really thought about Naomi Robinson's and Ian Johnson's (ex nine boss now with seven) attack on Sam over Christmas.

I don't give a ******** if i get jumped on for saying this but, I actually enjoy Sam over anyone else in the footy media/public, he doesn't care about his image so everyone can get that out of their heads, he's made a fool of himself for years because that's the lengths he has gone to to try and keep the ratings on the footy show up... He is a tossa, but so is alot of people, probably most of you's are foking tossas but i don't know this, Sam just be's a tossa in public, maybe alot of people on here can't get any and are jealous of Sam's public persona, there are alot of people out there that love the man for being who he is, mainly women. As for Rex, he's the best in the business when it comes to radio commentry, I've already been there done that with alot of you and been jumped on once again, but yeah, that's my opinion.

I heard it and it was typical of the good old days when sam was on 3AW.

While it was entertaining nothing will come of it. Remember as Rex said he dined with Newman last week.

Its just two huge egos going at it where Newman is a prick and Hunt is a thin skinned loud mouth. Probably the most annoying part was Hunt sounding like he was near tears and threatening more action. Its not as if Hunt hasn't heard it all before. None of the 'revelations' by Newman was earth shattering.

These two are like an old married couple. They fight they make up, they fight they make up etc etc.............

Sam Newman is what holds the Footy Show together. He's the reason I watch. I disagree with the rest of what you say, especially your view of Rex Hunt, who is another self important self engrandiser and a disaster as a footballer caller.

I like Sam , tells it like it is, doesn't want the Biff taken out of the Game- hates umpires is cynical about the AFL, only ever trying to get laid. What more could you want in a footballing personality.

Rex has a 'history' with not liking Johnson after being 'shafted' by him years ago and was very vocal at the dinner about his 'extreme dislike' of the man and told Sam that he was behind the public beating that Sam got through Naomi and Today Tonight.
