Of course, he had the dreaded OP which can have a very detrimental effect on kicking power, followed by glandular fever, so he's had some serious setbacks. He may still be building up his confidence with his kicking and his stamina will improve. I'd like to see us persevere with him for a few more games at least.
This is what i was saying before, the kid had a very bad run with injuries early on, and not just the typical soft tissue type stuff, OP and Glandular fever ain't pretty. I would really love to flash forward 2 years, and about 30 more senior games to see how he has come along. I think people under estimate how good it is for young developing players to have some continuity to their footy. When they can put together a couple of injury free seasons of footy, with some good preseason inbetween, that's when players have a break out year. I think Sheldon will be one to watch in the next 2-3 years, even though he isn't setting the world on fire right now.
