Champion Data, has Walsh rated fourth in the first year players rating. Mainly because the others are more efficient with their disposal, even though they get half.

Very frustrating to stick with him in Fantasy footy and get average scores for 30 possie games. CD really over rated by many.

As well as he is playing now he is getting caught in tight with the ball a lot.
He is till getting the ball away, most often effectively, but once he gets his legs and core built up he'll be extracting the ball better than he already is and breaking away - look out, I say!

He's also a mite quicker, and has a bit more gamesense.
Sixteen points the difference, after they'd just kicked 2 on the trot for the first time in the game. Poor turnover ends up being spoiled away from the goalsquare, but we're outnumbered on the deck and our boys are talls as opposed to the quick blokes they had down there. Real opportunity to reduce the margin to 10 points. Enter Walsh, from 90m away and where the ball originated, fighting and holding the ball in; a half second later, they'd have won clean possession and taken a shot. End result is a stoppage - which we won - but denied them an easy shot out of pure effort but also from knowing that we'd need him there. He read it faster than anyone else.
He has the makings of an all time captain, if his first year is anything to go by. He's doing things great leaders do on the football field.
I actually cannot believe how he can go in and under, get the ball, get tackled and still get his goddam arms free to get the hand pass to a team mate. Every. Freeken. Time. How in the hell?
