Hearing Geelong are already are in talks with his management to facilitate a move in 3 contracts time.
Should be right in their correct age bracket as well by then recruitment wise. 👌

Was never going to leave on this next contract if at all.

If at the end of this next deal they are still not playing finals and showing no signs of improvement that is when I could see him considering it, but that’s a long way down the line.

But a 21 year old gun mid earning 800k a year with a young star key back, young star key forward is a good place to be.

I think odds are that he'll be our captain by 2026.

If so, that could be factored in as a deterrent to him leaving (although not unheard of for a captain to walk).

Leigh Colbert and Ryan Griffen spring to mind

Good get, the next contract he signs will likely be the big pay day, either at the Blues or elsewhere. He'll likely be worth it too.
I honestly believe he will be a life long BlueBagger, even if he could get more money or success elsewhere.

He has already re-signed for probable unders.

He could be, what I'm saying is he'll still get a big pay day even with staying. He's not likely to accept 800k a year a again for a long term deal if he wins a few AAs, a Brownlow, etc.

The Blues will need to pay more to keep him which is fine. There's taking unders, and then there's low balling players.

Dusty took unders to stay at Richmond compared with what he could have got from North, but it doesn't mean we didn't have to pay up a good offer to respect his standing in the game.

Whereever he plays, it's his 25-30 year old contract that is probably his big pay day. His manager will make sure he knows this, and he'd be illadvised to throw away money given AFL players have about 15 years to capitalise.

We got 'business opportunities' for investments and other such rich benefactor coterie members and sponsors.

Despite being pretty poor on field for 20 years, we rarely lose required players to rival clubs for more money, Eddie Betts being the last one (I was happy for Waite to leave, undisciplined, selfish plonker at our club, credit to him he wasn't like that at North)
