Lays BBQ with the black packet FTW
I remember the samboy ad in the 80's. There was a guy standing there going through all the flavours and he would say "samboy salt and vinegar" and then he would have vinegar and salt pour down on him, "samboy chicken" and feathers fell down from the sky, then "samboy barbeque" and the ad would end with a thud as a bbq had fallen on the ugly bugger.
The flavour of Thins Light and Tangy changed dramatically a few years ago. Back in high school, they (along with Burger Rings) would be the only chips I would eat, but now their flavour has changed so much, it is barely recognisable to me. I'm pretty sure it's not me with the problem because Burger Rings still taste the same, I just think that Light and Tangy lost something a few years back. Probably the Tangy, if anything...![]()
Also loved the Thins Light and Tangy - pity that half the time, there was so little flavour they tasted almost identical to original (which I'm not a fan off).
I don't like them. Smiths s&v >>>>> Samboy s&vAm I the only one here who doesn't like salt and vinegar chips? They're disgusting.

twisties are the best
by the way, oddbods were the shit.
I wrote an email to the consumer thing and thay said there are currently no plans to re-introduce the flavour sachets or the 100g packets. Why aren't they more popular? Far superior to Smiths chips (though smiths original are nice) yet they seem to be disappearing from store shelves. Is this just a WA thing? Are they bigger over East?
They should bring back the extra sachet of flavouring and avoid using Red Symons in any future advertising campaign. Anyway I hope to one day see a return to the glory days of Samboy chips.
