Definitely plenty of positives to take from the loss.

Soldier field can be a real shithole to play at. In the wet that ground becomes a boggy cow paddock. As the season progresses this won't be an issue, we were unlucky with the weather. You don't like to use that as an excuse, but it didn't help at all.

As the game wore on Lance felt the pressure a little, getting caught in the pocket, forcing some throws and just doing what rookies do but he did some great stuff as well. Threw some class passes for big gains, ran for yards and put Samuels into space. I just thought the communication with him and the offensive line wasn't quite there. First game of the season away from home, let's take the outcome for what it was, a learning experience.

This sums up the game

We were so undisciplined when it matter plus throw in the terrible conditions so not worried.

The Kinlaw penalty was one of the worst (Best?) phantom calls I have ever seen. A double teamed DT called for holding????

Look at the holding going on on the other side of the line by the Bears on that play if you can stand looking at it again.

Having endured the replay again last night, this result confirms what I have always advocated in closely fought NFL contests. Whoever wins the "game moments" normally ends up winning.

The Bears probably won 90% of those moments in this game, hence the result.

I'm on the fence with Shanahan (again) right now. Penalties, busted coverages, leaving your 3rd round picks in street clothes and the worst of all, using Lance and Deebo as feature runners in your game plan in a match up you should have cantered to a victory in. Those designed runs by those two should be the wrinkle not the main event.

Couldn't of said it better myself every key moment we made errors or came up short where the bears won them and made most of their opportunities.

I knew we were in for one of weird kyle game plans when he ran with aiyuk, deebo then lance as his first three rushes.

You have a brand new interior offensive line.....at least let them play straight up inline blocking early to get some continuity instead of misdirections and pulling every play.

I love how people are saying Jimmy G would of won in Chicago. Anyone remember the game he played against the colts in weather that wasn't half as bad.

Here's a reminder of jimmy throwing in the rain

The drums will start to beat louder for Jimmy if the L's start mounting up, I hope they stick with Trey though.

The Lance criticism is head scratching. I just finished watching the TNF game and saw some of the most gawd awful throws ever from some of the supposed elite QBs and hardly a whisper of criticism.

With those leaked pictures of Lance having some fun at a strip club being leaked showering strippers with money. I thought this was a good drawing.

Just on Lance having fun with some strippers nothing to it, his a young 22 guy who just come into some money having a bit of fun. The way media goes on about on it its stupid. Such a double standard no blacklash when jimmy g is dating pornstars and going to their parties.

Funny part is that the criticism also comes from the same people that ragged on Jimmy G. 9er haters!

I believe people are genuinely scared what the 49ers could be with a legit top 5-10 QB

Absolutely gutted about Trey's Injury. Was headed over in end of November/December to watch them they might just cancel and go next year instead.
Not too keen to see the run game and 13/20 passes for 150 yards?

I wouldn't write the season of yet. Sad that we don't get the Trey show, but relieved the season ain't over for the team like previous ones with injury

FMD, Sir Lancelot...Nooooooo!!! You were supposed to be the chosen one!!

Devastating news to hear, season ending ankle break requires surgery :(. Thank God we kept Jimmy G on the roster, we'd be royally screwed otherwise.

Here it is Jimmy, opportunity presents itself. You can do this! Take us all the way like Nick Foles in 2017/18 for the Eagles after Wentz went down. Maybe not quite the same situation but near enough.

Anyway, was a great win over the underwhelming Seahawks. Got the season back on track, back at sunny San Francisco Bay.
