What a great morning.

Anyone else wake up with a sense of calm?

Not sure why...
I had a dream last night, then I watched the replay, and realised it wasn't a dream ;)

Just thinking with Sando's payout would we be able to do some creative accounting? eg hypothetically his payout is 1.2m, we give him a 1 Million bonus in this years spending and pay him 100k each year for the next 2?

Even if the pay out is less one would assume that he would the pay out would be counted over the years he had left. Half next and half the year after. But hopefully we can do it in one lump tomorrow.

He was a lame duck CEO which made the board's decision to keep him a shocker. You are correct in saying that this meant Trigg was incapable of managing difficult issues even if he wanted too. The last 2 year's has been wasted more because of trigg than Sando or Chapman, but all 3 must be made accountable. Chappy appears to be staying to help clean up the mess then will handover to roo.
I'm going to sound petty and vengeful, but I don't want an orderly handover from chapman to the next chairman. It's his leadership that brought us to this point and the idea that he leaves during our rebuild stage, where others have made the hard calls that he's incapable of, claiming credit for where we are heading is particularly unappealing. I want him gone now, identified as the architect of where we find presently find ourselves and history to not reflect that he had anything to do with our rejuvenation as a club.

But I'm guessing those that are setting the agenda are happy to keep the Lilly-livered, weak as piss figurehead at the moment. I'm loving what I'm seeing and hearing (especially a club wide refresh), so I'll back them as I'm sure they are happy doing the real work while he fronts the media. Butt it's gonna shit me when he leaves in 18 months and we're on track and he says something like we're in a good place, on an upward trajectory so it's time to kick back and let the new generation in to lead. To borrow a chapmanism, I'll want to crack him.

Hey guys, first I know it says Crows only, but I am not here to cause trouble, just saying that have you thought of who you want as the next coach of the club?
Surely you got a few potential names lined up to target for the job?
A good start would be to read the thread about our next coach

The damning stat for Sanderson - past two years we lost 11 games by 12 points or less and only won 3. There it is for all to see - you win 50% of those games and we are sitting in the 8 both years.

Roo on the radio yesterday said if we got an older vloke we'll put young talent around him and if we got a younger bloke we'll put an older head to guide him.
Fagan also made the point on 5AA they're really focussed on getting the balance and chemistry of the whole coaching group right, rather than just the senior coach. Again its common sense but have never heard anyone from the club speak in those terms before. usually its all about what we can afford and which of our assistants can't be moved on because they're contracted.

Maybe not. But when you break down the results of the last 2 seasons, as has been written before, 3-19 vs. the top 9 teams and 18-4 vs. the bottom 9 teams was an indication that our game-plan and match-day efforts were only capable of putting away other ordinary teams.

Oh absolutely, I agree, all the media just seem to jump on the 57%

Just saw the Danger interview (been away), and WOW, that's the most passionate and forthright I've ever seen him in an interview. I'm not sure what Slippery Pete was on about, that was not a cliche interview with cliche answers, he was pissed about the media reporting and set the record straight. He's an Adelaide man for life, as I've always suspected. Clearly Rucci didn't see the show...
Yeah Danger was smouldering at the treatment he received from Lyons, Newman etc. He looked to me like a guy who would have loved to arc-up and just rip into them. I am also left with the feeling that maybe he was/is really pissed that he was put in that position by the club. ie having to defend what possibly appears to be undue focus on the players' end-of-year performance feedback . Hope his suppressed anger is for the Footy Show and not the Adelaide Football Club. It's nagging away at me.

I posted some of the pictures of the last 1 minute of the game on the Hawks board.

Had a couple of Port posters abuse me on there, that led to bans. Everything is now falling into place, the planets are aligned again.
Link please. :)
