Shenton kicks the first of the third.

Coughlan with another really good defensive mark.

Minch hasnt slowed down. Some ferocious tackling.

Tc with his 2nd shank out on the full. Still had a heap of it.

how's Rice been A2R?

Had a bit of it doest look out of place. He's wearing 12 though which doesn't help.

Billy longer of all people roves a contest and snaps a goal. 77-23

Cogs penalised with a tough in the back (falling forward) Franga misses.

White has a boot on him. Gets it to the centre square from the back pocket.

White starts on the wing.

Jbt contests well, spoil then tackle.

Rice a couple touches in close.

#3 and #7 kick goals for sandy. Blowing out now. 90-24

Pierce and Longer getting most tap outs. Franga doing well to shark quite a few though.

22 is Payne!

Coughlan takes a really good mark from a kick in. Honestly been most impressed with him today. Done a lot of good things.

Lee been pretty good too. Another pack mark. He seems to be the go to man when Delaney and Goddard mark it.

Rice and white got a bit of it that quarter.

97-25 at 3 qtr time.

Murdoch shenton head payne pierce starting... Forward? Took me a second to work out which way were going based on that!

Coughlan Lee rive white Delaney down back.

Tc minch middle. Eli and cook on the wings.

Got to say I have been very impressed with Coghlan. He has been able to produce just enough to suggest if he can get his body up to AFL standard he will be a great find.

Franga kick the first two.

Tc spots up head. Spots up Lewis. Goals from a tight angle.

Head takes a really good grab from a kick in, hands to Saunders, hands to Eli. He takes a bounce and kicks long inside 50. Point results but looked good.

Cogs another fearless marking attempt. Head spots up payne. Payne shanks it.

Cook looks sorenafter a knock..

White sells some candy and barrels it i50. Turnover.

Cogs taking a couple kick ins.

Frankston definitely upping their game but we've switched off a bit. 105-40

Jbt takes on a Franga player and hits up payne. We mess around with it for a bit but Eli combines well with pierce (one-two) and hits his target. Another turn over from there though and Franga gave another shot. Finishing stronger than us. 105-52.

Absolutely perfect transition with Lee billeting it to Murdoch to head to sandy player and pierce gets the goal (I think was typing :/)

Lee another strong grab.

White doesn't have a right foot :p

Tc everywhere this quarter.

Minchy ankle still bothering him.

Shenton slots one. Been a good presence up forward.

If Longer can end up being a threat up forward he'll be one of the best ruckmen in the league. :thumbsu::thumbsu:
Very happy to hear this. Would love for him to model his game on Brodie Grundy's.
Athletic around the ground, not afraid of the contest, a great set of hands and also very dangerous up forward.

!

This has got to be a worry to the powers to be, same thing happened in the Saints game against North. If the midfielders don't start learning the how to read the ruck, we could be in for a long season.

I was there today as well. Man Billy looks like a grumpy old man - the 'longer' the game went the more comfortable he looked. Still laboured around a fair bit and looked like he needed the run!

I'll start with the worst and least popular comment, I was really disappointed with Hugh today. I don't know what was wrong but it was just fumble after fumble from him - I expected an assured performance vs some very average opposition but instead I saw a bruise free fumbly performance. His leadership/talking was good but I expected more.

Lee played well apart from a couple of poor errors which would've been highlighted in an AFL scenario. It was a day for errors though tbh and he was the most assured defender out there - once again his kicking was (for the most part) pin point and dangerous.

Curren was bog for me. Quick accurate hands and good foot skills a highlight - couple of clangers but was dominant out there - I actually thought his disposal was a highlight and noticed a definite improvement in that area.

Minchi and Eli started like a house on fire - both seemed to go missing at stages throughout the match. Eli tends to play like a pacy winger but really lacked pace at times today, a couple of times he called for it in a poor position but early on he was a very good linkup player. Minchi's elite kicking was on display yet again - I feel like he just isn't in their plans for some reason which is a shame.

Something about Rice has me very excited! Good kicking and very smart footballer, put in some good spoils and read the game well.

White is going to be a good footballer - he seems to glide across the ground. Lovely left boot on him too, maybe not a right but he is a leftie after all.

Saunders = same old story. His ability to find the ball and kick long is good enough to play AFL but decision making and missed targets within 30-40m still letting him down.

Del should be happy that he gets to play VFL on an AFL players wage. I didn't notice Murdoch which is a shame, Payne showed snippets but inconsistent at best.

Feel free to ask away if you have any questions and I will do my best. Frankston were running a bigger bench and frankly were pretty poor out there.

Thanks heaps for the run down - very much appreciated.
Any sight of Sinclair today?

Fantastic to see Bailey has recovered so quickly from glandular fever, let alone showing good awareness, skills and defensive pressure.
