Did anyone catch the first episode on Foxtel last night?

I actually enjoyed it and looking forward to the next episode.

He actually left John Kennedy SNR speechless....interesting take on the history of our game.

Well done Sandy Roberts.......actually is the reason he left Channel 7 to make it on Fox.

I'm fairly sure it is but it still might've been good. I'm pretty mad that they got interviews with Blight, Kennedy, Sheedy, Breen... for a pisstake

I thought it was a sendup. Still made me feel uncomfortable, so I turned it off after 15 minutes.

An absolute pisstake. I knew nothing about it until I tuned in. The way Sandy spoke during the intro, the failed attempt skipping stones on the beach and Kennedy's Missus shaking her head, the lone old suitcase full of old reel to reel stuff pretty much gave it away for me.
Also, I think the photos where there was half a head supposedly being Jimmy were all of a different person.

As a young bloke, I spent a lot of time watching Abrams and Zucker comedies like Top Secret, The Naked Gun movies, Mel Brooks and National Lampoons stuff. The bad acting etc was straight out of these movies. Got a good laugh out of it.

Zucker, Zucker & Abrams, with a little Pat Proft thrown in, doesn't get any better than that for my favourite genre, cornball comedy!

As to the thread NFI what you're all talking about, assumed someone was dredging this up.

i'm pretty sure it's trolling. Isn't there legislation against this kind of activity to help protect innocents like myself.

Well if there's not, there should be. Frightening to think that people would actually exaggerate, or worse, lie in a public way like that. Deliberately misleading or confusing others. Just appalling. Would never happen on here.

To be fair to you, I didn't think it was well done, which is why I turned it off. I love a bit of satire, but Sandy wasn't quite delivering for me.
