Roger James has played football at all levels during his career, and been involved in premierships as both a player and coach.

After making his debut for Norwood in the SANFL in 1995, James quickly made a name for himself as a tough and skilful midfielder, and was selected by Port Adelaide’s AFL team in 1996.

Noted for his kicking on either foot, James’ career at Alberton spanned nine years, and 147 games, including the Power’s historic first AFL flag in 2004.

In that time he also racked up 76 games for Norwood in the SANFL, and was a member of the Redlegs’ premiership side in 1997, alongside his older brother Brett.

Upon retiring from professional footy, James went back to his country roots, and continued his premiership-winning ways, as a player and player coach for Kersbrook, and Barossa District.

He is a Life Member of the Port Adelaide Football Club, a past member of the SANFL Team of the Year, and now a member of the SA Football Hall of Fame.

Stephen Williams is part of a famous South Australian football family.
A member of Port Adelaide’s dynasty of the late 1980s and early 1990s, Williams held the Thomas Seymour Hill Trophy aloft nine times - six times as a player, and three times as coach.

A tough and courageous midfielder, Williams’ playing career spanned seventeen years, with all but one spent at Alberton, when he spent a year with the Brisbane Bears in 1987.

Playing in premierships with the Magpies six times between 1988 and 1995, he played 269 games at Port Adelaide, before he moved in to a coaching role, and won three more flags between 1996 and 1999 as senior coach.

He is a Life Member of the Port Adelaide Football Club, and a SANFL Player Life Member. He was inducted into Port Adelaide’s Hall of Fame in 2011, and joins his father Fos, and brother Mark, as a member of the SA Football Hall of Fame.

Hoping for Mitchell to do well.
We know he's ineligible but yeah I agree. Alberton won't be the same next year without him and Butch.
Mich's goal in the last qtr of his final game for us to the northern end had us in the cheersquad rapt.
For the boys to come to us after the game as a token of thanks and appreciation was a highlight/favourite
moment of mine.

Geez, most of the broadcast is gonna be this pre-packaged stuff, isn't it?

Cut to the live event every now and then.

Live tweets would be more exciting...
