Funny thing was, the NRL Grand Final tickets also went on sale this morning so it was actually difficult to get on to Ticketek to get SANFL Grand Final tickets. Just not for the reasons those dreamers at the SANFL would like to think.

SANFL GF crowds pre COVID were pretty good as if it was a nice day people would just rock up and buy a GA ticket at the gate and the crowd slowly built from there. With COVID measures and assigned seating now there’s no chance they get those crowds.

First time since 1983 that the WAFL GF has got a larger crowd than SA's version. Even without restrictions I doubt today's game would get more than 29k given the hybrids (wwt) are not well supported
I know 2 supporters.
One supports Woodville and the other supports West Torrens.
Yeah, I think it got swept up in the hype of the 'Festival of Footy' we've had here with the AFL finals over the last month, and no restrictions would've helped. Last year they played the GF at Fremantle Oval and got a crowd of 10,000. Good atmosphere though because it was packed out.

Looking like the bays of 2021 will be the worst side to have only one loss in a season. Hope both mobs will be raided in the draft given the yorke peninsula & lower south east zone crudholes keep producing quality footballers
