Nah I’m sorry I’ve had enough. I’ve held back while everyone has praised him and while he has for some reason become the cult hero. He is as average as they come. He’s a great athlete and his work rate is terrific, but I’ve had enough. I am so over mediocre footballers with huge deficiencies. How can a 25 year old AFL listed player, cult hero no less, consistently miss set shots from such gettable shots? What about today’s debacle. Kicked 1.3 and another OOF.

Obst shows so much more potential. Agile, quick, aggression, courage, and only 20!

His goal kicking is substandard, due to a technical flaw that seems to come about in about 50% of his shots, you will notice all of his misses are to the right.

That said his field kicking is fine, if you actually played him on a wing he would be a lot better proposition than some we have played that position this year.

I greatly admire the Gowans, they both played superbly today, they are SANFL winners and I wish they played for Norwood

But that was a dreadful act. Of course it doesnt erase their 6 flags, but I'm afraid it did unecessarily tarnish an otherwise perfect day for Centrals. He needs to get about 8 weeks for that act whether it was retailation or not

Besides, I was talking about the footy club- not the population and just as a **** you I'd defend the lowest of them before some self promotor that wants to brag about their geographic location. I'm not really into stereotypes anyway. Out of curiousity ever lived anywhere near Elizabeth? Ever met anyone from there? Or are you commenting on something you know nothing about (admittedly- that does account for a lot of posts on BF)?

I think you are very tough on Gill, but the jury remains out. I think he can play a hard working lead up CHF, but unless he improves his kicking (for goal) he is going to be barely in the side I'm afriad. Can he at 25??? Cant mark him on today, ball delivery awful

Equally I think you are very kind on Obst. Good first 1/4 but not much from then in a winning side for mine. Didnt see anything apart from ok mobility to make us reget that decision, particularly if there are off field issues

that was an absolute gutless act by james today. but it didnt surprise me. commentators seemed to think it was howard that hit him earlier and that he was "getting even" with the wrong bloke.

Ever met anyone from there? Yes. I used to know some people who lived up there. I have ventured around Elizabeth. Certainly not an area I would want to raise kids around...but hey, that's just my opinion.

Even some centrals fans I know are embarrassed by the way a large number of the Dog's supporters act during games.

Amatuer football anywhere in the country is a predominantly a thug's game. To suggest otherwise is bordering on foolish.

I fail to see how that makes the entire northern population scum- BUT, you people obviously know better than I would and I'm not going to sit here any longer and try and change your opinions (hopefully the Eagles supporters who borrowed a jacket at the ANZAC day game in '05 doesn't think like you).

Anywho- there is hubcaps to steal so I might head off. And I'm not living out north anymore either... we're spreading. Be afraid.

Your right. For example the Penfield Cricket Club are some of the nicest/funniest bastards I've had the pleasure of playing against. I also have met some perfectly reasonable people from Elizabeth and many feral w***ers from Burnside. However the numbers are certainly tilted towards Northwards. Not to mention it's a ****ing long drive!

That's why I said "many", and not "all." I do know some sane centrals supporters who have lived/or live up North

If they play to their peak they will win by 50+. But North aren't bad by any stretch of the margin and can challenge Centrals if they catch them napping.

Tough tussle but see Centrals breaking it open in 2nd half with a goal spree from the midfield, Callinan and friends too strong.

Central District by 31 points.

Going by their list, Central will be top again next year...both Gowans to play on and no other major changes by the looks.

And yes, curse the bastard who made the decision to delist Obst. He is a bloody talented kid, damn good chance he'll get picked up in draft this year.
