As he has been off an AFL list for 3 years, could Port pick up Nathan Freeman as an SANFL top up player?

Presumably Freeman would only move to SA if he saw an AFL list spot in his future. I see no need for him on our list. I don't think he offers us anything that we don't already have covered by Dumont.
I don’t think we can recruit VFL players. If we could, I heard Lobbe would have played SANFL.

Think I saw it on the SA Footy website under SANFL clearances tab.
Trent Burgoyne and Kai Roberts will play for Port Magpies.

Personally I would have targetted West's Jed Obst, but I think this is his draft year, hence would not be available to us.

Kade Dittmar is training with West Coast, would have liked to get him in the sanfl for a look.
I don’t think it’s classified info. Under new rules, players who missed out in their draft year can have one year as a top up, but it has to be with the consent of their host club- Westies obviously being mature about giving Kye the best chance to make it onto a list. Not sure how we get Trent, but again it’s with the consent of WWT.
I thought he stopped training with WC. They added another 5 or so players to their train on list.
