The biggest list of Crows to play in the SANFL this season performed strongly on the weekend.

Luke Jericho played his first game for Norwood since switching SANFL clubs earlier this season and had 24 possessions and seven marks in terrible conditions at The Parade.

Midfielder Bryce Campbell, who had missed a couple of game to rest a sore back, was influential and hardworking in earning 25 disposals and Darren Pfeiffer was serviceable after switching to hlf-back.

And John Meesen played his first league game of the season since recovering from a serious knee injury. He was competitive in the ruck and had six possessions on a day not ideal for big men.

On the winning side, North Adelaide’s Nick Gill (17 possessions) was very good at half-forward and on the wing, while Andrew McIntyre (19 possessions, 12 marks) is getting his touch back after a long absence through injury.

Bernie Vince continued his good run of form with the Eagles, collecting 21 possessions and kicking 2.3.

Richard Douglas was also a strong contributor for Glenelg on Sunday, winning 20 possessions, and John Hinge was also good across half back. James Sellar did not have much game time.

Ruckman Jonathon Griffin performed strongly in his return to the SANFL. Playing for Central District, he had 25 hit-outs, 12 possessions and took six marks.

Rookie Rhys Archard had a slow start but helped guide South to its win on Sunday. In the reserves, Greg Gallman was among North’s best and James Turner played well for South Adelaide.

All I can say is that the Luke Jericho "experiment" better be over.

Care to expand on that statement?
He was given 4 or 5 games, even gifted his first game, in order to prove to everyone he is worthy of a place on our list next year and beyond. What he showed was a decent skill level that is overlooked due to his inability to get the hard ball and put his body on the line.

He was dropped after the Kangaroos game, on standby against the Eagles and not in the 3 emergencies against the Hawks. I just hope they realise he's not up to it and therefore end the experiment.

I admit I was listening to the game on the radio, and only saw a few highlights, but if Jericho is shit, then were does that leave the rest of the above players on our list who played in that game

Certainly don't think any Crows player is "gifted" a game ....that concept has well and truly been debated hear and the club has shown NO willingness to go down that path :thumbsu:

I was a strong supporter of Jericho last season as the man most likely to surprise ....and still PS thought the shock of last season might spur a change in attitude.

Sadly I agree the experiment HAS failed and in this case the leopard hasn't changed his spots ......still think though he may have trade value, possibly 3rd rounder ......but that means nothing IMO in this draft which has me yawning with apathy.

Must be the most over-hyped rookie ever.
(maybe I shouldn't say that - might still get a third rounder as trade)

PS. Sorry forgot about Fergus Watts
