I just tuned in to readio broadcast (Wasn't aware it was on) and Sellar just kicked his first goal in the 3rd after apparently missing a couple of easy ones earlier in the game. Commentators are saying that his work rate has been terrific.

We have another trier on our hands :D :thumbsu:

Hopefully that translates to a strong work rate on the training track, which seemed to be the one worry with him all pre-season.

And Brett Backwell just mentioned that Hinge has been terrific. I know Hinge doesn’t get a lot of attention, but I honestly believe he could develop into a similar player to Torney.

Man we did well during the 2006 draft; Sellar, Tippett and Mackay with our first three selections. Mackay is going to be an extremely good midfielder down the track.

What!

No mention of Campbell  :p

Any more updates on our man Jimmy?
jo172 should be able to give us a report as he was at the game.

But it sounded as though Sellar had a quiet game. Only kicked the one goal and didn’t appear to have too many possessions.

Hinge on the other hand was great according to Brett Backwell; he said he was the Bay’s best player. He kicked a goal in the last quarter and had quite a few touches. Considering Hinge was emergency this week for the Crows, and add that to the fact he was amongst the best for Glenelg, I would suggest he isn’t far off making his debut.

Throught the sheer ineptness of the girl at the counter. No Idea what she was doing, didn't scan the guernsey, just chucked it straight in the bag :thumbsu:

Which store was that at? Might need to head there myself! :D :thumbsu:

Sellar will take time. He only just turned 18 and is practically learning a new position as a key forward having spent most of his junior footy as a ruckman. As long as he can keep working hard and developing his game in Glenelg seniors, I will be happy. He still has a long way to go but he has the talent to get there if he wants to put in the hard yards.

Hinge is an interesting one. I thought he would be delisted at the end of last year because he was just OK for Glenelg but we are obviously grooming him for a defensive role. He is good overhead, has some toughness and athletic ability. He can play on smalls or talls which is the sort of flexibility Craig likes in his defenders. I get the feeling he is being groomed into a Torney replacement and he gets to be as good as Torney I would be one very happy chap. Have been a huge fan of Torney's for years now. Courage personified.

McIntyre was sensational today. Jars even chucked him forward in the last term, he took a grab and nailed a tough shot into the breeze, it was dead in front but it wasn't easy today. He had another chance to kick a goal but instead passed it off.

And I hear Tippett dominated in the ruck again :thumbsu:

How did Jericho go?

Just at K-Mart. Was going to be 50 bucks less than at the AFL Store, just because there were no sponsor logos on it.

Ended up being $110 bucks less :D

Now for the number on the back. I think I'll still go with 26, but Knighta has started to sway my line of thinking.

Ok to be honest I was incredibly ****ed today, didn't pull up as well as normal after hitting town last night celebrating the Crows win so didn't take much notice of Jericho and forgot even Tippett was out there, Wakelin did well for us in ruck so not too sure about the domination but I wasn't the best judge today. Only had a few bevvys. To prove how ****ed it was.. siren sounds opening bounce of the game and i yelled "go crows!" luckily only my mate standing next to me heard.
I doubt Jericho did much though as West were woeful today and we were very average at times and only won by 74, should have been 150.

The Groggys RIPPED into Willits though, he was absolute garbage and he played up forward like Chocko requested but did nothing.

Heard some bloke from the Westies reserves was involved in a bit of a scuffle. Here are the chain of events I heard.

- Got reported for headbutting

- Got dragged

- Stormed off into the crowd

- Boxed on with someone in the crowd

- Left the oval

  He can get ready for a long long ban then!

That was Wiggins. Got dropped from the As last week, headbutted Taesler and got sent off, jumped the fence and almost had a punch on with a supporter. He is a knob. Got into a fight with Dean Howard on field a couple of years ago when they were team mates at Westies but Deano has seen the light and is now a Rooster.
