Well, West are finished for the year in the SANFL and aren't listed in the reserves matched either...so is Moran allowed to play in Reserves finals for the lowest ranked team still playing (ie 5th)

If so, he should play.
He's eligible to play in the SANFL until the Crows get eliminated from the finals.

I wouldn't think so?

I think he might be allowed to play for West's U18s if they made the 5 though?

I very much doubt they will allow the 200cm/100kg+ Moran to monster the U/18s.

Should be playing for the lowest ranked reserves side if Vader is correct. Doesn't seem fair though. Maybe he just has to sit out now it's finals time?

Agree

I think Vader assumed Westies still had a team in seniors finals. I think Moran just has to placate himself with training.

Yep, given the Crows professionalism and Moran's supposed efforts in rehab he'll probably get more benefit from training as opposed to a crappy reserves match.

In any case, he's only there in case of injury but i do worry how we'll go against Ottens/Blake and King/Gardiner

Put it this way.. Crows players are eligible to play finals under two conditions:
1. They've played the 3 SANFL games required for eligibility and their team remains in the SANFL finals race.
2. The Crows remain in the finals, regardless of how many SANFL games they've played.

How this works out for players with teams who are NOT in the finals.. I'm really not sure. It does seem somewhat unfair to have a player like Moran suddenly available for the lowest ranked reserves team still in the finals! My guess is that Moran will just have to make do with Crows training.

Highlights are UP

I'll say one thing.. Taylor Walker may very well be the best field kick in our team.

A player of his size and inexperience kicking so well left and right shows his enormous talent.

**** i'm getting sick of that Carlton Natural Blonde ad!

What really stands out is how handball happy our players even in the SANFL are, Craigy has trained them in his image well!:D

Really can't believe after all these years we have young talls the quality of Davis, Walker and McKernan waiting in the wings.

I really like Walker playing an up the ground role. It allows his sublime foot passing to teammates inside 50, his natural football nouse all over the ground and it allows him to lose his opponent a bit. Also lets him have some of those Knights like bombs from outside 50:thumbsu:

Good to see Lee build up some confidence before the finals. I'm tipping him to be the big improver over Pre-Season and next year. He's come from the furtherest back of all our draftees bar Donnelly and Henderson.

Walked looked great up the ground. Hopefully he can build his fitness base up even further for next year and play a HFF/CHF role for us next year. His field kicking is sublime and his handball aint' half bad either :)

Sloane and Davis both looked a class above and it was good to see Lee leading hard and taking good solid marks.

And here is what may ultimately end up being the final SANFL highlights package for 2009:

Huge thank you to both the SANFL and Channel Crow for making these videos possible and hope to see this service once again return bigger and better next season. :thumbsu:

Fixed!

Well I guess I'm fired then. Serves me right for not watching the video first. I mean how was I supposed to know that Tom Lee was going to have more than 1:50 worth of highlights this week. :D

TD, thanks for embedding them all year. Its been a great convenience. :thumbsu:
