If someone told me a SANFL team had kicked 20.3 the last team I would have guessed would have been Sturt.

Good to see them getting some accuracy back in their side.

8.0 for Chambers, 22 in 3 weeks isn't a bad job.

I was at the South game today, a couple of marks in the 3rd quarter that would have put the AFL MOTY contenders to shame.

Port were 19 points up in the final term but Sturt had the wind and ran all over them.

Port 16.18 (114)
Sturt 20.3 (123)

Amazingly straight kicking by Sturt, I think Chambers kicked a lazy 8.

.

It was actually a 30 point break after Port kicked the opening goal of the last quarter

Sturt kicked 8 straight after that to win the game running away. Tim Weatherald gets my vote for courage personified... 2-3 minutes to go ball going to Ports Forward Flank and he threw himself at the ball with no thoughts for himself and got crunched hard... but the ball was spoiled and Sturt held on for the ball up and then took the ball out

Match winning effort

Absolutely brilliant win by the Blue Boys !! Are we back in town or is this just a false dawn. Im not prepared to say yet, as I think a few injuries will show up a major lack of depth but heck Im gonna enjoy it while it lasts, and plus its always great to beat Port anytime !!!!

Anyone see Turner and Campbell in the ressies?
No idea; didn’t see any of the reserves game. But I tell you what; if Campbell is playing reserves again next week then it’s time for changes at the top.

So everyone is happy except for us Legs supporters. Never have I been so disappointed after a game.

You say that every week :p

Just another note, walked into Alberton and saw this Blues player and I was ''wtf is Stiffy doing, is he fit''

It was Jeremy Johncock and boy does he look like Graham
Moments after the game concluded I saw David Mackay walking towards me so I said to him, "Good luck with the Crows this year". He replied, "Thanks mate". :thumbsu: ;)

DUBBELBLUES , clap clap clap

DUUUBBBEL BLUUUUES
Wish I'd gone now but too hungover. Well done blue boys, now to continue Norwood's poor form next week.

Is it true that Jericho only had one kick on Saturday? Good to see that being named as an emergency gave him an injection of enthusiasm. If you delist a player midseason can you promote a rookie or is it only for long term injuries?

Rocket didn't come on until after half time, when he did he seemed to move well and got plenty of the ball as you would expect at reserves level. Should get a call up this week into the league side but I guess it's a case of getting match fitness for him.

Pfeiffer will also play for Norwood this week.

Pfeiffer and Campbell will be big INs this week for Norwood and should see them improve you would think.

North vs South at Prospect this week will be a good game but one I'd really expect North to win.

You would think North would be too good for South, the Roosters are looking good again for a top three finish.

It doesn't take much to injure a tissue.

Tippett (West):

K: 5
H: 8
M: 2
Hit outs: 8

Jericho (West): *s******s*

K: 1
H: 5
M: 3

Turner (South): :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

K: 6
H: 10
M: 3

Hinge (Glenelg):

K: 12
H: 4
M: 5

None of those figures are all that impressive but Tippett did a few good things on Saturday though I only really watched the first half.

Turner 16 possesions on debut, playing at CHB. I'd say that was pretty impressive.

Great news, thanks mate. That's lifted the spirits. :thumbsu:

Don't pay any attention to this 8 hit-outs rubbish for Tippett. He easily had more than that, about 15 IMO.

Gibson had one of the worst days of his career. Not sure how long Turner played on him but when he did he shut him down. Turner on Gibson...

Geez hes still doing the rounds? Started at Port ressies about 7 years ago, went to Henley, then to South reserves, then to Henley, now at Sturt.
