I listened to most of the Port-West thriller on the wireless today and didn't really hear the two big men mentioned that much, Clive and Cupido were the stars of the day instead.

Kenny sounds like he was pretty average today, he played at CHB and was beaten today.

Haven't heard a lot of Tippett or Maric yet but just then Tippett showed great composure to give the ball off to a West team mate which set up a Galea goal, good work Kurt.

Tippett was pretty good again today. I thought his ruck work was very good and he's improving each week.

Looks a player.

That is good to hear, cheers mate. It can be pretty hard to notice ruckwork on the radio especially when the commentators prefer to plug sponsors all day.

2) - Jaensch from Sturt looks ok. Young up and comer, did a few nice things, kicked 2 goals and is only 17. Perhaps someone to keep an eye on.

Kenny was serviceable for the Eagles from CHB. Didn't play as well as he did the week before at CHF.

Correct. Stats don't mean a lot when you are a defender manning a key forward, as long as the other bloke doesn't touch the ball you have had a good game.

I'm not sure if he still is, but Chambers was leading the Ken Farmer Medal with about 22 goals from 4 games, he has had a flying start to the year and is Sturt's only key forward. Stop him, North will win.. Gallman shut him right out of the game which is why Sturt kicked a low score, including only 1 up to half time.

Look I am a HUGE fan of the lad. His ability to get his hands on the footy in packs is exceptional. He has a clean pair of hands but it pisses me off that he handballs more than he kicks. Today his kicking was deplorable. I mean, seriously has he hit one target with his kicks today.


Shocking.

For some reason I have a feeling that Chocco has told Thomson to go out there and every chance he gets, to try and kick the ball. We all know that Thomson's kicking isn't outstanding but if someone has told him to try and kick the ball as often as possible he certainly might struggle for a while. Daniel Cross and Jobe Watson are two players that spring to mind when thinking about footballers with good hands but not so great kicks.
