A few observations -

1) - Gallman played ok. Needs to beef up somewhat, but is young and has time. They obviously have faith in him as he was on Chambers for a while.

2) - Jaensch from Sturt looks ok. Young up and comer, did a few nice things, kicked 2 goals and is only 17. Perhaps someone to keep an eye on.

3) - I liked Mcleay, bit of a goer, surprised he wasnt picked up at all.

For the Port fans, Deluca was nothing more than reasonable but played second fiddle to Feast and Thomson started slow, but looked pretty good after half time.

Adam Thomson has to be the worst kick in the SANFL
Look I am a HUGE fan of the lad. His ability to get his hands on the footy in packs is exceptional. He has a clean pair of hands but it pisses me off that he handballs more than he kicks. Today his kicking was deplorable. I mean, seriously has he hit one target with his kicks today.

Shocking.

Gallman was great today, completely shut down the front runner in the Ken Farmer Medal, I think Chambers only kicked 2. It was a surprise match up as there was talk of either Schubert or Cubillo playing on him. Instead Jars put the second gamer on him and he was bloody great, I was extremely impressed with his work.

Unfortunately I got there too late to see Gill, I arrived in the 3rd term but I was told Gilly kicked a few goals, took one big grab but kicking was a bit suspect though his injured leg is his right so that is to be expected. I also heard a rumour he's a chance to line-up for the Crows next week, I doubt it though so it may be just drunken gospel.

Good win by the *****, superb first half but we couldn't finish our attacks off, Sturt look like an absolute rabble.. we switched off as usual and they got a run on in the third but we were far too good. Should have won by more really.

Not really anymore. End of last week he had 55 kicks (=4th in SANFL) and 34 handballs (=5th).

Didnt see the game but usually his kicking is much better than people give him credit for. Still needs some work on it but every kid has a shit day every now and then.

No way Nick Gill is playing AFL next weekend. If McGregor hasn't been put in yet then no way Gill is playing after one SANFL reserves match.

Lower is so far down the pecking order it's not funny, and Cockshell is a long term project. With Boak BOG or close to in every game he's played this season, and Gray winning BOG for Westies last weekend, we're quietly pleased with how our kids are going!

When is Sellar expected to get on the park?

Quite funny isn't it, I thought every Port kid was meant to be a gun.

Yeah mate that is what most of us were talking about today, he only played the first half today as well so it would be ridiculous to bring him in. For the record, Sturt looked too good all day in the ressies and led by 4 goals in the final term but North stormed home and won by 6 points.

I like last years rookie draft :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

I am very impressed with Gallman so far, he was solid without doing anything special last week but today he was given a very tough job and he was awesome. Considering even the Groggies who have close ties with the club had never heard of him, he is a great pick up for the Crows. McIntyre is a class above but Gallman has made an impressive start to his league career at Prospect.

Would be very unfair on him as well with all the expectation he would be under to perform at AFL level with such little build up.

I haven't seen much of this this year so the comments re handball to kick ration was based on previous showings. I am seriously a huge fan of this kid and he could come to west lakes any time as far as I am concerned.

His kicking today was seriously bad. Other than the goal he kicked, his kicking was deplorable, so much so that the commentators were laughing about it all game long.

He will be a gun though!
