SANFL v. VFL: Anyone going to see it?

Finally, the game that I have been looking forward to for years has finally arrived. South Australia is going to play Victoria. We can give the Vics the beating we South Aussies know they deserve. But...I would like to know what you think about this particular event. Is anyone here going to the game?

It'll be an absolute cake walk for SA. The VFL are weak as piss lately.

SA by a crap-load.

From what I've seen of SANFL games so far the standard is pretty damn good.

I'd go as far to say that it's not far behind the lower standard AFL games.

Ok ,how does the VFL team work??

Do they include the AFL players that are in the reserves or is it only players who arent on AFL Lists??

I think the rule was last time that you were not allowed to have AFL listed players in your team

SA won the last game at the MCG in 1999 with Anthony Harvey and M Pavlich outstanding

The game this year is at Adelaide Oval on Saturday 23rd June.

Should be a really good game.

I would think the SANFL would be strong for the VFL side. If AFL listed are excluded from the game, the SANFL will more than likely have a convincing victory. But who knows?

It's a shame Anthony Harvey didn't have the same level of success as his brother at AFL level but I'm glad he has been able to have a successful career at Norwood.

you would think ABC would have at least have a replay

We get SANFL on Saturday's usually so there is no reason why they wouldn't telecast the State game unless come bullshit commercial network has the rights and won't use them!!

I wouldn't be suprised if SA won this match by a few country miles,
And you can blame Wayne Jackson because of this,
He has completely crippled the Victorian Football League over the years, Id like to know how many people have stopped going to the football over the past 8 years, how long has jackson been in for?

Just adding to my thread for this State Match...
Yes, I believe it will be telecast throughout South Australia, Victoria, Northern Territory and Tasmania because now that Tassie has a team in the VFL, they might want to see their men in action. Yes that is right, Tassies in the VFL State Team. Ah well. It doesn't matter, cause soon enough, the Northern Territorians will join the SANFL and we will really kick ass!
