All I can say is thank f*ck for that goal. Now we just need to hold on to it. Which we won't.
Once again we haven't even created a realistic scoring chance. I reckon it might be 2 - 0 result.

Seeing as though you are feeling like that I won't bother with my usual smartarse comment.

Another disappointing result for us. We were competitive and had a few opportunities but we just aren't creating as many chances as we should be.

Newcastle deserved the win.

Well done to their fans on here, that might prove to be the win that sets you on your way

After the week we have had, it was great to hear the boys come out and play the way they did. The Leeds fans were great in chanting Reidy's name early on and it was even better to see the support repaid by the players with a win that should have been by more than just the one goal.

But it is 3 pts so I'm not complaining!

Im so surprised no one has mentioned the quality of Pires goal yet. Pure class!!! Dudek had no chance.
Liverpool for the first half could have easily been 3-0 up. Kewell and Owen both had two simple chances, Kewell scored with onw of his.
Then for the last hour or so afer there goal Arsenal were by far the better team.
And is it me or did Henry seem to be playing more of a midfield role. Aladiereererereree played up front and it seemed as if they were playing 1 up front and Henry was playing behind him.
Kewell was probably Liverpools best.

And im surprised Mundine hasn't come and yet about Wolves win.

Pires' goal was sensational but why he was allowed to have that much room is beyond me. Liverpool were really disappointing. They looked world beaters early in the frst half and got progressivley worse and worse as the match wore on. Not that I'm complaining.

Blackburn are in a spot of bother at the moment.

Portsmouth have hit the skids after a good start, and Everton - well that's just plain embarrassing letting Spurs put 3 past you.

As for us, didn't expect a point but we should have got one after that first half hour. The way we played at least showed promise, in particular the Kewell-Owen partnership looks more promising than when Mr. I'm a human Log Heskey is on.

Dudek - Couldn't be faulted for either goal, just a game.
Finnan - Better
Hyypia - Awful again, in a real slump now.
Biscan - Just OK. Bring back Henchoz.
Riise - Best game for a while, provided plenty of drive.
Smicer - Injured early, no impact
Gerrard - Bright start, but fell away and so did the team as a result. Shocking error to cost us 2nd goal.
Diouf - Thought he was excellent. Worked very hard.
Diao - Did a reasonable job in the holding role, but he is no Hamann.
Kewell - Electric. Perhaps striker is his best spot after all?
Owen - Should have put away a goal. Been saying for weeks if he is injured we are in real trouble.
Le Tellac and Welsh - Looked nervous and unsettled.

And can I say the refereeing was total rubbish, prevented the game having any flow at all.

Need to scrape together some points until we can get some players back.

Given that it was away from Highbury, do you reckon it was worth double?
