I know I will get mercilessly flamed (and probably banned) for putting this on the main board, but I am royally pissed at channel 9's decision to not show the Storm vs Broncos semi-final until 11:25 on Saturday Night.

There are plenty of League haters on this forum, but more and more I see the Storm listed as one of peoples "other clubs", so there is plenty of support as well.

To anyone who wants to phone Channel 9 and register their disappointment, the number is 03-9429 0201, and the receptionist will forward it on to the programmer. Also, if you do call, remember it's not the receptionist's fault that she works for a pack of dogs. Treat her with respect and register your complaint calmly.

I saw something similar in QLD when the lions won their 2nd flag.. late night replays etc etc after the 3rd each of their Games afterwards were LIVE..

dont worry soon as Storm take it out again might happen.

Im sure victoria could handle 1 LIve nrl game a week, even if its on 9. AFL wont be on there anytime soon.

I did post this in the main forum, because there are plenty of people who follow the storm but may not make it to the League board. I just wanted to make those people aware of the game not being shown, and for them to have a way to bitch to 9.

For all the things that channel 7 has done to piss me off over the years, channel 9 has just beaten them with one foul swoop.

There has been two awesome opportunities to showcase the melbourne storm to victorian viewers this year.
This game has the potential to be game of the year, if not game of the decade, and the game against the sea-eagles should have been live.
Channel 9 has spat them back in Victorians faces.

I'm just resigned to it now.
The NRL rights aren't due until 2013 or something, and nothing will change as much as I hope it will.

With the ratings success of 2008....I cant see how NRL can justify the rights deal...but that done and dusted now

If we keep growing and ratings even just slighty improve until 2012, the tv rights will go up..maybe not as big as afl but for us it will be great,.

I've been bitching about the free-to-air coverage of AFL (non Swans games) here in Sydney all year but I will be watching The Storm live on Saturday night on 9. (I'm originally from Melb)

It is interesting though that we get Swans games in Melbourne live in prime-time on 7 or 10 but Channel 9 won't show you The Storm live down there.

It's far too easy these days to get the scores. Way back, there was only the radio. But now there's the live scoreboard in Fox Sports News and the live sportal scoreboard I have access to on my mobile. I'll resist for all of 15 minutes and then will clicking on 'update scores' every few minues. If we lose, I won't be able to bring myself to watch it, which annoys me because I want to.
